3/1
Improving chaser who was second of four in her first race in novice company, beaten a nose at Wexford recently. Clearly in good form with herself and rates a leading contender here.
Ran well on chasing debut at Clonmel last month when finishing fourth of 14 before winning a Limerick beginners contest over 2m2f on good ground. Another bold show looks likely.

Lightly raced gelding who was second of 11 beaten over 8L when not unbacked in a Downpatrick beginners contest following a lay-off last month. Market possibly the best guide here.

Rallied well in the closing stages on a promising chase debut at Clonmel last month. Any market moves should be informative.

Infrequent visitor to the track during his time with trainer Alan Fleming. Pulled up on sole chase start last September and may find it tough going here.

Thirsty Workp,t72
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-3| J: Mark Walsh| T: Mrs J Harrington| OR:  116| BF
11/2
Remains a nine-race maiden over the larger obstacles and although second of nine in a Kilbeggan handicap chase in May, the gelding may find one or two quicker in this company.

Triolet29
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-3| J: A W Short(5)| T: C A McBratney| D
33/1
Modest 117-rated hurdler and has been down the field in two starts this term. Unlikely to play a part in the finish on chasing debut.

Forecasts

Classic Theatre (5/4), Ask Susan (3/1), Thirsty Work (11/2), Consharon Boy (6/1), Big Bad Brian (8/1), Imperial Way (14/1), Triolet (33/1), Marakoush (33/1)

Verdict

The Henry De Bromhead-trained CLASSIC THEATER went well on chasing debut at Clonmel last month when finishing fourth of 14 before winning a Limerick beginners contest earlier this month and can fight off the attentions of Ask Susan who was beaten a nose in her first novice chase at Wexford two weeks ago and potential improver Consharon Boy. Any market moves for Thirsty Work or Imperial Way should be noted.
  1. Classic Theatre
  2. Ask Susan
  3. Consharon Boy
