Has raced over 5f on his last three starts including in a Catterick claimer latest when finishing third, beaten 3½L (today's rival Associate Rock second); visor applied.

33/1
Struggling from halfway on debut at Beverley (5f maiden), finishing a well beaten eighth of nine to Thriving; up in trip (dam was a 6f winner) and down in grade.
Half-brother to the 5f-7f winner Inviolable Spirit, and was well found in the market on debut (11/4f) at Leicester recently (6f, good to firm), but could only finish fifth of nine to Knockabout Queen; stablemate of Associate Rock.

7/2
33/1, but made a significant improvement from first start to second when chasing home Knockabout Queen at Leicester recently (6f, good to firm), and theoretically holds Cherry Cola and Sharp And Sharper on that effort alone.

Six-race maiden (5f-7f), and well beaten at odds of 100/1 in a 5f nursery here on Monday.

Associate Rockh10
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-9| J: Lewis Edmunds(3)| T: Miss A Murphy| OR:  56| BF
7/2
Held her form well at a lowly level in her last three starts and should be competitive as a result; shares a Catterick (5f claimer) form-line with Captain James; stablemate of Sharp And Sharper.

14/1
15,000gns yearling, but has failed to make much of an impact in a couple of course novice events (5f-6f), and drops into a race where she should be more competitive; improvement still required nevertheless.

Cherry Cola14
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-9| J: Callum Shepherd| T: M R Channon| OR:  53
6/1
Finished fourth behind Knockabout Queen (and today's rival The Big Bad) at Leicester (6f) last month, but showed up well for a long way there, and as a sister to three winners including Marquee Club (5f-6f) merits consideration.

Horse silk
10/1
£10,500 yearling; sister to 6f AW winner Don't Blame Me; never involved on debut over C&D (fillies' novice auction) earlier this month, but should have taken on board that experience, and this rates as an ease in grade.

Smashing Lass14
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-9| J: S A Gray| T: Ollie Pears| OR:  62
10/1
Sir Prancealot filly who folded tamely late in the race at Leicester recently (6f) when finishing last of nine behind a number of today's rivals; earlier efforts more encouraging and trainer has a positive recent record in this race.

Forecasts

The Big Bad (7/2), Associate Rock (7/2), Capitan James (5/1), Cherry Cola (6/1), Sharp And Sharper (8/1), Smashing Lass (10/1), Pair of Savannas (10/1), Caramel Curves (14/1), Champyownez (33/1), The Fluter (125/1)

Verdict

A juvenile seller, so no strength in depth and consequently not the type of race in which to seek to get heavily involved. ASSOCIATE ROCK is one of two runners for Amy Murphy, and this filly has proved to be a consistent type at a lowly level and should have the measure of old foe Captain James. Others to consider include The Big Bad and Cherry Cola, while Pair Of Savannas could be one to step forward at a bigger price for a place.
  1. Associate Rock
  2. Cherry Cola
  3. Pair of Savannas
