Won his first two career starts, the latter of which was a Listed contest at Dundalk. Hasn't been able to replicate that sort of form on turf though and he has a propensity to start slowly, something that won't help him over this sort of trip.

Gained a first success since his debut when a winner at Leopardstown in a 16-runner handicap. Shaped as if amiss here last time having travelled well in to the race and it may be worth forgiving that effort.

Got his head back in front at Ascot last year and now 2lb below that winning mark. Ran with credit here when third of 13 earlier in the month but his effort at Killarney last time was below par. Doesn't win often but not ruled out on best form.

Lightly-raced sort who remains a maiden although in truth he's had little chance in his races on the Flat with his one standout effort coming when third at Doncaster (7f). Raced alone on his handicap debut; this may tell us more.

C&D winner in August who went close over this C&D again last time out when only narrowly denied. Up 4lb but lightly raced and she's a leading player here.

Invincible Spirit colt, cost €750,000 as a yearling. Full-brother to a Group 2 winner amongst others. Has run well on each of his three starts and produced his best effort yet at Naas last time. On a fair mark for handicap debut.

Won at Brighton towards the back end of last season but yet to come to hand for this yard since switching stables over the winter. Has a bit to prove at present.

Course winner here last year over 5f but has looked in need of a drop back to sprint trips of late and he was beaten last time over C&D in fairly convincing fashion. Others preferred.

Forecasts

Kailee (9/4), Ice Cold In Alex (9/2), Mayaadeen (9/2), Casimiro (5/1), Ambassadorial (6/1), Georgian Bay (8/1), Red Avenger (8/1), Gibeno (33/1), Procurator (33/1)

Verdict

KAILEE is a lightly raced course and distance winner and if she comes on for her run last time out when only narrowly denied, she could be the one to beat here. Mayaadeen is an interesting runner on handicap debut having been given a seemingly fair mark by the assessor while Casimiro wasn't at his best here last time out but he's been given a short break to recover and shouldn't be far away if he's back in form.
