Consistent filly who won at Wolverhampton in April, and has run with credit on all other starts, most recently when close fourth of 8 at Chester (7½f) last month. Should be competitive from 1lb lower mark.
Started the year with a couple of AW wins, but hasn't translated that form to turf on last two starts, and very disappointing at Carlisle last time. Bit to prove now.
Both wins have come on Polytrack at 7f, but yet to prove she is the same force on turf, and well held in fillies' handicap at Sandown last month. Tongue tie reached for now, and risky.
Made all to land back-to-back handicaps at Brighton (7f) last month, but unable to dominate when below form the last twice. No guarantee of an easy lead here, either.
Now 8lb higher than when winning narrowly over C&D in May, but improved again to follow up at Goodwood (6f) and went off too hard in hat-trick bid at Salisbury last time. Should bounce back.
Forecasts
Island Cloud (7/4), Silca Mistress (5/2), On A May Day (4/1), Mesquite (11/2), No More Thrills (10/1)
Two of these look better on Polytrack, while On A May Day is high in the weights after a couple of dominant wins against weak opposition, so the way looks clear for SILCA MISTRESS to bounce back to winning ways after an excusable flop at Salisbury. Island Cloud is admirably consistent, and can follow the selection home.
