Has held his form well since winning at Goodwood in May, and went down fighting in handicap won by Solar Flair at Newcastle last time. Fairly treated on best form, and should make another bold bid.
Scored over C&D last year, and looked as good as ever when fourth to Gifted Master at Newmarket in May. Poorly placed when down the field in Wokingham Stakes last time, and easy to forgive that effort in isolation.
Proving consistent on the whole this year, and latest fourth in valuable handicap at Newcastle (5f) came at a trip short of his best. Return to 6f will suit, and expected to go well.
Won a C&D handicap a year ago for Michael Bell, and better effort for new yard when head second of 10 to Buridan at Newmarket last time, a slow start costing him victory. Much respected.
Useful performer in France and ran well on first start for new yard having been gelded. Gone backwards in two runs since, though, and hard to weigh up at present.
HART STOPPER is one of two for his owner here, which complicates matters, but he would have won but for missing the kick at Newmarket last time, and can make amends now. Raucous has been gradually getting back to his best this year, and may prove the main danger in a deep contest, although Eastern Impact and Victory Angel also command respect.
