Been a bit of a shadow of his former self of late having been a smart performer earlier on in his career. Had a couple of runs back now so should be cherry ripe in fitness terms but we still need to see more.

Used to be pretty smart when with Godolphin. Four starts so far this year have not been the best but he is starting to look dangerously well handicapped and yard will get him spot on sooner rather than later.

Consistent performer whose progress stalled when only fifth of eight here over 1m1½f back in March. Off for 111 days since but this previous C&D winner still has improvement in the tank and will relish the step back up in trip.

Improved beyond all recognition in 2017 winning four times. looked in need of the run on first start for almost a year here over 1m6f last time and should strip fitter for that. Every chance the improvement may continue now back in trip.

Both career wins have been at Newcastle. Disappointed when last seen on final start for Sally Haynes but won when fresh on first start of last year and not ruled out with the proposition of more to come for new connections.

Another of these that was firmly on the upgrade when last seen back in 2016 having won tow of his last three. On a career high mark and long absence to overcome but there should be more to come if fit and ready.

Off the mark in comfortable fashion at Brighton last time in a weak novice event. Starts life in handicaps off a tough mark but step up in trip is likely to suit and gets plenty of weight off his elders in here so of obvious interest.

Having been largely disappointing of late he shaped much better at Goodwood (1m4f, soft) last time when a close fourth. Likes the AW and is on a nice mark so could be an each-way player.

Been in excellent form of late and almost made it another win over C&D last time only to be pipped on the line. Races off the same mark again here so sure to be in the shake up again.

Won well on handicap debut at Windsor (1m3½f, good) before finding 5lb higher mark and step up in trip against him at Sandown next time. Drops back in trip here but needs to bounce back in a competitive race.

Ultimately well beaten on handicap debut at Newmarket last month despite not getting the clearest of runs through. Should be capable of improvement at some stage and not totally discounted.

Well backed ahead of his handicap debut here over C&D last time when getting readily outpaced by the winner late on. Not everything went to plan that day and another that still has plenty of potential.

Forecasts

Silver Character (5/4), Refrain (3/1), Fitzsimmons (6/1), Dragon Mountain (10/1), Manor Park (16/1), Medrano (20/1), Moayadd (20/1), King Kevin (33/1), Clovelly Bay (33/1), Super Kid (40/1), Lopes Dancer (40/1), Ajman Prince (66/1)

Verdict

Well this is a minefield with a whole host of improvers mixed in with horses lurking on dangerous marks. King Kevin still has improvement in him and will appreciate going back up in trip on the back of a break. Moayadd improved leaps and bounds last year and should strip fitter for his recent run over too far; he could improve again. The feeling is this may go to one of the three-year-old's with both Fitzsimmons and REFRAIN making plenty of appeal. The former looks like he'll relish this trip and was still learning on the job at Brighton last time. The selection still has plenty of room for improvement and should benefit from his experience last time.
