Fair hurdler, though out of form in that sphere when last spotted. Just the one previous try on the Flat, which was poor. Best watched for now it seems.
Maiden after 18 starts under all codes and well held on Flat debut at Ballinrobe (1m5f, good) last month and since at Leopardstown. Others hold stronger claims.
Well held in a Bellewstown maiden a fortnight ago (ninth of 14), a first run for 342 days. Should strip fitter but plenty improvement on what we've seen to date needed.
Sea The Stars colt out of a Kalanisi mare related to Cloth Of Stars, Harzand and recent Royal Ascot winner Crystal Ocean. Plenty to like about his second of 10 beaten ¾L on debut at Roscommon recently. Open to significant improvement.
Gelded son of Lawman out of a Pivotal mare, he is a brother to winning stayer Laws Of Spin. Finished second of nine in a maiden at Cork (1m2f, good) on debut last month, longer trip appears a plus now.
Just the one start for the filly, finishing fourth of seven in maiden at Down Royal (1m2f, good to firm) on debut 25 days ago, should improve for the run.
Forecasts
Legal Spin (8/13), High Mounte (7/4), Daly An Sceil (14/1), The Irregular (25/1), Good To Flow (40/1), Rooney O'mara (66/1)
LEGAL SPIN and High Mounte look the two to concentrate on here. Willie Mullins' runner is nicely related and ran well on debut at Cork last month. That form looks decent and the longer trip will be a plus. High Mounte was also second on debut and can make a good race of it. Daly An Sceil appeals most of the remainder.
