Dual C&D winner whose latest win came at Ripon in June and ran with a great deal of credit on his latest run at Epsom (professionally ridden). Runs off the same mark here as last time and just 1lb above his last winning mark.

Has won over C&D although he has shown most of his best form at Beverley (over two years since last win though). Ran poorly on his return from a long break last time over 2f shorter; should come on for that (5lb below last winning mark).

First run for this trainer but he's been doing well with his new recruits and this one should be noted in the market. Not won for a while now and drops in trip but the rider had a winner recently and not a forlorn hope.

Inconsistent sort who is capable of running with credit but never appears to be able to back up a decent start. Ran poorly in an amateur rider's race last time and hard to trust to put in a good display here.

Yet to really fire this year and tried in blinkers for the first-time on his last start (race may have come too soon) but ran poorly. Goes back up in trip now with a tongue-tie now joining the retained blinkers; good chance on his old form.

Not seen on the Flat since refusing to race at the end of 2017 but has gradually worked her way back to form and a better mental state over hurdles. Picked up a win at Hexham last time out and very well handicapped if she's in the same form/mood.

Turned in his best effort for some time when winning a 1m2f AW seller in April but hasn't come close to backing that effort up since. Ran poorly last time on turf in a Hamilton handicap and hard to form a solid opinion on given that run.

Has knocked on the door a few times now but has never been allowed in and has a record of 0-22 on the Flat. Raced off the pace last time and ran freely to finish a modest 4th and a place chance at best.

Very hard to trust these days and on a long losing run that stretches back as a far as 2015 (31 runs). Would be a major surprise if he showed anything like the form he needs to take this.

Forecasts

Buyer Beware (5/2), Wotabreeze (3/1), Dream Free (10/3), Russian Royale (8/1), Aelius (11/1), Richard Strauss (12/1), King Of The Celts (25/1), Down Time (25/1), Monzino (250/1)

Verdict

One or two interesting individuals here with Wotabreeze and Aelius two that would have to be reckoned with the former having run with credit last time and the latter one who looks well handicapped on his old form. Russian Royale is another on a good mark if a spell over hurdles has reformed her character after she refused to race the last time she was seen on the Flat. A chance is taken that a switch to the Lawrence Mullaney yard has worked for BUYER BEWARE who hasn’t won for a while now but this trainer has turned around a few horse’s careers this season and this may well be another one and any market strength should be noted.

  2. Wotabreeze
  3. Aelius
