Age: 3|  Weight: 10-0| J: Alistair Rawlinson| T: Tom Dascombe| OR:  67
9/2
Visored for the first time when fourth of seven in a Haydock handicap on latest start. Cheekpieces are tried this time and he is one to consider dropped in grade off 4lb lower.

Ypresp34
Age: 9|  Weight: 9-9| J: Callum Shepherd| T: J Ward| OR:  57| D
33/1
Has been around the block a few times, but is useful on his day as he showed when scoring well at Carlisle this time last year. Well beaten on return to action at Hamilton last month and needs to step forward, even at this lower level.

Horse silk
Clergyman33
Age: 6|  Weight: 9-7| J: D Tudhope| T: Rebecca Bastiman| OR:  55| D
13/2
Three-times winner over this distance, on each occasion on the Wolverhampton AW. He is rated 7lb lower on turf, but has not done enough recently to suggest he will be winning this.

Semana Santab8
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-7| J: Jane Elliott(3)| T: T D Barron| OR:  55| D

Only win in 27 runs came in April, 2016. Inching down the weights and recent runs have been positive so she is one to take a second look at.

Age: 4|  Weight: 9-6| J: Jamie Gormley(3)| T: Miss Tracy Waggott| OR:  54
7/2
One wins in 20 starts, but showed more when fitted in a visor and third of 14 over 1m at Newcastle last time. LIkes to race prominently, so this drop in trip and class with the headgear retained might see him get involved.

Seebring33
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-4| J: S Donohoe| T: B Ellison| OR:  52| D
7/1
Shed his maiden tag at Wolverhampton in October and has generally run with credit since. Second of 15 in a better race at Nottingham last time and has to be considered off the same rating.

Gaelic Wizardp5
Age: 10|  Weight: 9-2| J: Gemma Tutty(3)| T: K Tutty| OR:  50| CD
14/1
Winner of 10 races who is approaching the veteran stage. Two recent wins at Hamilton, the latter at this level, show the fire still burns and he is afforded respect off a fair mark.

Found 7f too far when last of 15 at Wetherby, but had previously run creditably to be fourth of 11 over this trip at Catterick. Dropping down the weights and wears a hood for this venture into selling company.

Fair third in a C&D seller in May, but was well held back in handicap company at Carlisle. On a fair mark and is not out of it.

Fintry Flyer9
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-1| J: George Downing| T: J S Goldie| OR:  49| D

Well beaten on last two starts over 5f at Ayr. Only win came over this distance and she is no forlorn hope for a stable which has struck form in the last few days.

Mossy's Lodget,v112
Age: 5|  Weight: 9-1| J: G Lee| T: R Menzies| OR:  49| D
12/1
Dual AW winner for Anthony Carson and ran perfectly respectably in a 7f handicap at Yarmouth earlier this month. First start for this stable and is fitted with a visor for the first time. Considered.

Monarch Maid14
Age: 7|  Weight: 8-12| J: L Morris| T: P W Hiatt| OR:  46| BF| D
10/1
Has been running well without getting her head in front in recent races, but her consistency means her handicap mark has been unchanged. Sound each-way chance again dropped in class.

Horse silk
Nifty Niece21
Age: 4|  Weight: 8-12| J: D Allan| T: Mrs A Duffield| OR:  46| D
25/1
Catterick handicap winner over this distance in June, but could not replicate that display at Brighton last time. Back on her winning mark so a case can be made.

Ad Vitamb,t64
Age: 10|  Weight: 8-11| J: T Eaves| T: Suzzanne France| OR:  45| D

Seven-times winner who holds his form well despite his advancing years. Has been running on the AW and has not won for some time, but is nicely weighted and is not ruled out.

Age: 4|  Weight: 8-11| J: Nathan Evans| T: L R James| OR:  45

Has failed to hit the frame in seven starts from 5f to 1m. Hard to recommend despite the fitting of blinkers for the first time.

Laydee Victoria47
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-10| J: A Mullen| T: Ollie Pears| OR:  49| D

Landed a Southwell seller in January and has not been disgraced in subsequent outings. Below her last winning mark, but has never won on turf.

Forecasts

Supreme Power (7/2), Kraka (9/2), Clergyman (13/2), Seebring (7/1), Monarch Maid (10/1), Mossy's Lodge (12/1), Gaelic Wizard (14/1), Semana Santa (16/1), Market Choice (18/1), Mr Skinnylegs (20/1), Ad Vitam (25/1), Laydee Victoria (25/1), Nifty Niece (25/1), Ypres (33/1), Fintry Flyer (33/1), Lilly Ballerina (100/1)

Verdict

A tough puzzle to solve with the likes of Semana Santa, Seebring, Gaelic Wizard, Market Choice, Monarch Maid and Nifty Niece among those likely to figure at the business end. Mossy's Lodge is interesting on debut for her stable, but the vote goes to top weight KRAKA, who drops in class off a lower mark and wears cheekpieces for the first time. Fintry Flyer is another to keep an eye on in the betting.
  1. Kraka
  2. Mossy's Lodge
  3. Monarch Maid
