Tongue-tie goes on for the first time after being tried (unsuccessfully) in cheekpieces last time out. Drops slightly in grade here but looks as though his best form has been on Fibresand and not on turf.
Yard are starting to show signs of form and that may help this one who has been struggling to show his best of late. Visor now tried again and steps up in trip but others are preferred until he shows more.
Still only had one bright spot on his dance card that being his Redcar win in May off a 4lb lower mark. Has not lived up to that run on three starts since and has looked rather laboured and a more persuasive case can be made for others.
Now qualified for handicaps and makes his debut in then here although not that well drawn; should be suited by the step up in trip (bred to be suited by it). Worth watching in the market and a forward display won't come as a surprise.
Not really seen to best effect last time when wearing a hood for the first-time (retained now) and started badly (left poorly placed). Didn't run badly in the context of the way the race went and untried at this trip and down in grade.
Still a maiden with the cheekpieces on for the first-time over C&D last time looking very much as though she needs further. That was a creditable effort though and it looks as though she can win a race such as this in time and off this mark.
The majority of his runs have been over shorter trips than this but he's not really looked to be one to be interested in. Cheekpieces now join the tongue-tie used last time but doesn't look one to be overly interested in.
Makes his handicap debut having not really given that much encouragement in minor events so far over shorter trips. It may well be that handicaps encourage him to show more but as things stand he's hard to make a case for.
Twice tried at this sort of trip already and hasn't really looked as though he stayed the trip on either occasion. Dropped away quickly at Hamilton over 1m last time and hard to fancy on the back of that or his earlier form.

Kenmare River (10/3), If We Can Can (4/1), Johni Boxit (4/1), Rock On Bertie (9/2), Heirslookingatyou (7/1), Hilborough (8/1), Handsome Bob (8/1), Bollin Joan (10/1), Holy Wings (11/1), Austellus (33/1)
Hard to build a solid case for many of these on what they have shown so far and although it was only a selling handicap that Johni Boxit won last time this isn’t a whole heap better and from a good draw he’s taken to be in the firing line again. Heirslookingatyou makes his handicap debut here and but for an awkward draw would have been the suggestion here looking just the sort who will improve for the switch to this sphere. A chance is taken though with KENMARE RIVER who went better than his finishing position suggests last time and is now dropped in grade. Bollin Joan would benefit if there was an overly strong pace and she’s one to be interested in for events like this over further.
- Kenmare River
- Johni Boxit
