Solid and consistent of late finishing runner-up in three of his four starts since May. Deserves a change of luck and entitled to make the shortlist.
Modest 85-rated handicapper for trainer Roger Charlton. Not seen since pulling up in a Leopardstown maiden hurdle in December 2016. Watching brief on return.
A winner at Cork in August but has shaped as if amiss on many of her runs since. Probably wants softer ground than what she will get here.
Limited 69-rated handicapper for trainer Hughie Morrison and has been out of luck finishing second in three of his last four starts for new connections. Each way claims but may need it a little softer.
Southwell maiden winner back in 2016 and only seen twice last year. Plenty of encouragement in two starts at Gowran Park last month finishing third of eight on each occasion. Enters calculations here.
Caught the eye in a promising run on good to firm ground at Naas last month over 1m finishing second of seven beaten 2½L behind Wexford Opera. Worth noting in the betting.
Distance winner of a Gowran Park handicap off a 2lb lower mark 12-months ago beating 14 rivals by 1½L. Not disgraced in three starts this term and may have to settle for one of the minor honours.
Won his second start on the Flat when landing a Bellewstown claimer over 7½f earlier this month and another bold show looks likely.
Fourth of 14 in this race 12-months ago. Solid enough this season including a win a Leopardstown over 7f off a 3lb lower mark. Anchored by being drawn 18 of 18 at the same course in June and can go a great deal better here.
Without a win on the Flat from 15 starts on turf. Can go well in first-time cheekpieces but may find one or two quicker in this contest.
