Always holding the runner-up when landing a Cork maiden in May over 1m on good ground following a couple of below-par spins at Dundalk on the AW. Open to plenty of improvement.

Distance winner on debut winning a Leopardstown maiden over 1m on heavy ground in April. Beaten since over a longer trip at Roscommon and should appreciate the drop back in distance here.

Appeared in Listed and Group company last term without success for trainer Jessica Harrington. Second of six last month in a Leopardstown rated contest over 7f and is likely to to run well once again on second start for new connections.

Arrived here with a big reputation ahead of her debut and then took her chance in the 1000 Guineas at the Curragh. Off the mark at Leopardstown last month before a 2L in the Oaks trial at Naas. €675,000 as a yearling and sets the standard here.

Forecasts

Scriobh Nua (1/1), El Greco (11/4), Future Proof (7/2), Mattymolls Gaga (9/1), Great Grey (33/1)

Verdict

The drop back to this trip should be enough for SCRIOBH NUA to get back to winning way following her 2L defeat at Naas last month and wouldn't have to improve much to land to spoils here in the opener. Aiden O'Brien's El Greco will be the biggest danger to the selection with the Ger Lyons-trained Future Proof expected to run well once again.
  1. Scriobh Nua
  2. El Greco
  3. Future Proof
