Consistent sort but he does have trouble getting his head in front and he hasn't won since early 2016. Looked to have had his chance earlier in the year and might just be looking at another placing at best here; well drawn for a prominent racer.

Twice a winner already this year on the AW and on turf he was beaten far last time out at Carlisle plus he's already a dual C&D winner. Didn't quite get the run of the race last time and a repeat of that run puts him in the frame here.

Not fared well in the draw stakes here having not been seen for a while and having had some wind surgery in that time. Well beaten on his handicap debut it's to expected that he'll need this and best watched for now.

Looked as though he could win races when with Brian Meehan in his younger days but has proved to be a disappointing type since over hurdles. This will be his first run on the Flat for this yard but he makes limited appeal.

Course winner who has the leading lady amateur rider booked but isn't well drawn at all. He's down to a career-low mark though which is another plus and will have needed the run at Ripon last time; this should tell us more.

Well drawn and posted a decent effort last time (his best since joining the yard); having had wind surgery on joining this yard. Looked a little stretched by the 7f trip last time but this sharper version may help him last home.

Gelded and given a wind op after his two-year-old career he's looked the sort who can take a handicap having run well in three this year so far. Kept on over 7f last time and although he doesn't look that well handicapped not ignored here.

Still looks rather unexposed despite this being his third trainer - struck form this year winning his last two over 7f winning cosily last time despite the narrow winning margin. Up 3lb for his last win and in a better grade; has a little more to do.

Finished runner-up in a big field on his debut for this yard hinting at better to come but has fared poorly in two subsequent starts. Drawn out wide here in stall 11 and needs help from that post position and one to leave alone.

Dual winner last year who now wears the cheekpieces for the first time having looked as though he was coming to hand last time at Sandown. Runs from 3lb out of the handicap but nicely positioned and should make a bold bid.

Below her last winning mark which she gained in a 6f Doncaster nursery last year when with Archie Watson. Now with another excellent yard she's yet to fire in three starts but may yet come back to form and is well berthed here.

Forecasts

My Amigo (11/4), Coviglia (10/3), Dark Confidant (7/1), Red Force One (8/1), Baltic Prince (8/1), Song Of Summer (9/1), Gabrial's Kaka (10/1), Aprovado (16/1), Mansfield (25/1), Exchequer (25/1), Magnum (50/1), Dandys Denouement (50/1)

Verdict

Quite a few that are in with a chance here with dual C&D winner BALTIC PRINCE an interesting contender having gone down narrowly last time at Carlisle he should be able to cope with stall 7. Coviglia comes here looking for a hat-trick but does have to cope with a new mark and a step up in grade having won in 0-60 company last time. Aprovado looks the sort for this type of race but may just be found out despite the good draw with Dark Confidant another who could go close having looked to be getting near his best at Sandown last time. No lady amateur riders race would be complete without Serena Brotherton although she will do well to get course winner Gabrial’s Kaka home from the widest draw.
  1. Baltic Prince
  2. Coviglia
  3. Dark Confidant
