In good form for most of last year and made a winning reappearance over 7f at Yarmouth in May when the ground rode soft. Not in the same form over 1m there next time, but too soon to write off.
Best effort this term when winning at Wolverhampton(1m½f) in March. Not so good on turf, it appears, but ran respectably when third of 7 to Savaanah at Wetherby last time.
Got up late when winning at Lingfield in January, and a couple creditable efforts on AW since. Presumably amiss when running poorly at Chepstow last time, but hard to know what she's capable of on turf these days.
Won this race last year, but often spoils her chance with slow starts, and can look half-hearted in a finish. Below best at Carlisle last time, and fitting of a visor looks a sensible move given her quirks. Remains risky, however.
Promise on all three starts for this yard (had one outing for Michael Madgwick), and unlucky when second of 14 to Vixen on handicap debut at Kempton last time, rearing as stalls opened. Big chance if getting away on terms.
Consistent since going into handicaps, and ran to form when 2¼L fourth of 14 to Vixen at Kempton (7f) last time. Now 3lb better off with Poyle Charlotte, but lacks the scope of that rival.
Three solid efforts in maiden/novice company seemed to set a springboard for handicaps, but she ran poorly after a slow start at Chelmsford last time, and that's not the first time she's blown the start. Hood fitted now.
Just minor promise in a quartet of runs as a juvenile, and she failed to improve on handicap debut at Leicester in May. Should be fitter now, but has quite a bit to find on balance.
Forecasts
Poyle Charlotte (13/8), Acadian Angel (3/1), Zafaranah (11/2), Seyasah (7/1), Sweet Symphony (10/1), Katie Lee (16/1), Sugar Coating (16/1), Natalie Express (40/1)
POYLE CHARLOTTE would probably have won at Kempton on her handicap bow but for rearing as the stalls opened, and she can make amends assuming there is no repeat. She's should confirm form with Sweet Symphony from that contest and is also preferred to last year' winner Acadian Angel. That filly has looked in need of headgear for a while, and it could be the key to her, for all her quirks make her a risky proposition.
- Poyle Charlotte
- Sweet Symphony
- Acadian Angel
