Need to go back to March 2014 for his last Flat win, in a Meydan Group 2, and he's no longer the force of old. Not disgraced in this sphere at Windsor in April, but he's since disappointed over hurdles at Perth.

Lightly raced, and belatedly off the mark in a 1½m handicap at Goodwood last month, battling willingly. Still looks fairly treated despite a 4lb rise, and worth serious consideration again.

Won over this sort of trip at Newmarket in 2016, but missed last season, and running well below best at present. Plenty to prove.

135,000 gns Breeze-Up purchase last year, and built on earlier promise when winning 1m3f maiden at Goodwood last month. Fourth has won well since, and he looks very fairly treated now handicapping.

Made the frame on first three starts in maidens/novices, and this well-related colt can probably be excused a poor run on handicap bow when losing his action as well as a shoe.

Forecasts

Supernova (4/6), Past Master (4/1), Coolongolook (4/1), Carry Me Home (16/1), Excellent Result (33/1)

Verdict

It's very possible that Coolongolook will bounce back after having excuses for a poor run on handicap debut, but preference is for PAST MASTER after a game win at Goodwood. Henry Candy has been very patient with the five-year-old, and that can reap its reward now that he's found his feet. Supernova landed a maiden at the West Sussex track last month, and doesn't look overburdened on his first foray into handicaps.
