Very consistent sort for a horse in this sort of grade and impressive at Chepstow last time out in soft ground. Equally as effective on AW and he's clearly thriving at present. Capable of running well.
Course winner back in April but hasn't looked quite as effective since stepping up in trip since. Very disappointing the last twice and has a bit to prove now.
Got his head back in front for the first time since his maiden win over C&D last time out. Will need to build on that to go in again but still relatively lightly raced.
C&D winner on handicap debut back in May but has really struggled twice since from his subsequent handicap mark. Likely we have not seen the best of him yet but just has a bit to prove at present.
Failed to improve on handicap debut last time. Ran well here back in October and still unexposed so can't be ruled out for a yard in excellent form.
Yet to place in three starts this campaign. Makes AW debut and handicap debut so he may improve but certainly needs to.
Improved from his first couple of runs to finish runner-up at Nottingham last time. Certainly rates as the type to carry on progressing now and more to come up in trip here.
Improved on handicap debut at Yarmouth and took another step forward when winning at Kempton last time out. Yard do well with these types and shaped like there was more to come that day.
Well beaten in a trio of career starts all at big prices. Makes handicap debut here but may need more time to be seen to best effect.
Forecasts
Silver Character (13/8), Atticus Boy (2/1), Drap D'or (15/2), Ready To Impress (8/1), Trinitas (12/1), Enmeshing (16/1), Blackfyre (20/1), Essenaitch (33/1), Caramuru (33/1)
DRAP D'OR may have been let in lightly by the handicapper and there's every chance he will carry on improving for this yard. The three-year-olds would appear to have a strong grip on this race and both Atticus Boy and Ready To Impress both appeal but the main danger to the selection could be the top weight Essenaitch who is clearly thriving at present.
- Drap D'or
- Essenaitch
- Atticus Boy
