Progressive during his juvenile campaign in which he won three nurseries (6f to 1m), and ran well on AW return at Kempton. Has looked a hard ride since, however, and last couple of runs have been poor, leaving him with questions to answer.
€260,000 yearling by Quality Road out of a Canadian Grade 1 turf winner. Only minor impact in qualifying runs, but pedigree gives hope he'll prove a different proposition now handicapping.
Placed three times at up to 7f last year, and had wind surgery before return at Newmarket where he faded late as if in need of the run. Can do better, although stamina for new trip not assured.
Won a 6f novice at Chelmsford in November, and stepped up on reappearance effort when 2L third of 8 to Lord Vetinari in apprentice handicap at Chester (7½f) last time, shaping as if he would relish this trip.

Forecasts
Brigand (11/10), Jupiter (7/4), How Bizarre (5/2), Quality Seeker (6/1), Motown Mick (15/2)
BRIGAND looks the one to be with given how well he shaped at Chester last time, and the longer trip can only help him on that evidence. Quality Seeker is hard to weight up, and needs to improve on form, but is bred to do much better, and could take off now handicapping, so looks the main threat, even though How Bizarre has achieved more so far.
