A winner on debut and ran with credit at Newbury next time behind a smart sort. Well beaten up in Group 2 class on third and most recent start at Royal Ascot but he will appreciate the drop in class and not ruled out.

A winner of two of his first four starts. Well beaten when tried in Listed class at Royal Ascot last time but this is easier and the booking of Atzeni is interesting.

Won at Ripon on second start but finished 3L behind Jungle Inthebungle next time out at Beverley. Finished ahead of that rival last time at Royal Ascot and still going the right way. Not ruled out for a yard in form.

Finished 5L eighth of 28 at Royal Ascot, finishing ahead of Life Of Riley and Jungle Inthebungle that day. Interesting that Moore is booked for the ride and still improving.

Won her first two starts, latterly at York in a respectable looking Novice event. Finished behind Well Done Fox and Life Of Rliey at Royal Ascot on her subsequent start but still early days and yard are in form. Not ruled out.

Improved from debut at Ascot when runner-up at Ripon last time. Needs plenty of improvement to play any part here.

Country Rose16
Age: 2|  Weight: 8-11| J: David Probert| T: R Harris| OR:  84| D
11/2
Improving filly, not disgraced in a Royal Ascot Group 2 last time in what should prove to be a hot race. Should go well with more progress likely and has the perfect draw if she reverts to her front-running tactics that saw her win at Lingifeld.

Forecasts

Well Done Fox (5/2), Barbill (9/2), Country Rose (11/2), Chapelli (6/1), Collect Call (13/2), Jungle Inthebungle (7/1), Life of Riley (8/1)

Verdict

COUNTRY ROSE is an improving filly who ran well in the Queen Mary last time out and with an ideal draw (1) for the front-running tactics that saw her win at Lingfield two starts back, she may prove difficult to peg back. Several of her rivals met in the Windsor Castle last time out and Well Done Fox finished in front of three of these rivals and may be able to confirm the form with Ryan Moore booked to ride. Jungle Inthebungle wasn't seen at his best day but he rates as the type to bounce back and he couldn't be ruled out.
  1. Country Rose
  2. Well Done Fox
  3. Jungle Inthebungle
