Debut winner here in May over 6f and looked as though he would be better over further. Given a tough test after that in the Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) at Royal Ascot and will be far happier back in these calmer waters; carries a penalty.
Produced a promising first effort looking quite a sharp sort over 6f at Leicester and not knocked around when finishing midfield. Produced a comparable performance on his second start and should be thereabouts again.
Canford Cliffs colt who cost €58,000 as a yearling out of an unraced dam. Yard not known for their juvenile winners and best watched here unless the market says otherwise.
Makes his first start on turf having been well backed on his second start but failed to improve on his debut effort stepped up to 6f. Still early days with him and he looks as though he still has the potential to improve.
Well held here over the extended 6f trip on his debut looking very much as though time would be needed plus a greater test. Can only be watched now as he makes his second start.
A newcomer to note (€65,000 yearling) who is a half-brother to several winners including Glory Of Paris and 5f winner Vale of Paris. Tongue-tie on for debut and one to note in the market.
Hooded for his debut the headgear is now removed for his second start having hinted at ability on his debut at Windsor. With the principals for a fair part of the journey he may be one for the longer term though.
Open to progress on what he showed in his one outing so far where he was held back by inexperience (will be better for the race). Never a threat in that heat he'll know more now and should improve on his debut showing.
Drops down in distance having tried 7f on his first run although that run hardly showed him in a good light being slow away and always behind. Not one to be unduly interested in even with that run under his belt.
One of three runners in this for the stable this one is the only newcomer and he makes some appeal on pedigree. By Helmet out of an unraced mare who was a half-sister to the useful Masteroftherolls; market watch advised.
Didn't show that much on his debut over C&D in May and fared no better on his second start stepped up to 7f. Looks to be one of the lesser lights in the juvenile ranks for this yard.
Forecasts
Almurr (13/8), The Paddocks (9/4), Nefarious (8/1), Bullington Boy (11/1), James Street (14/1), Disruptor (14/1), Ritchie Valens (16/1), London Rock (20/1), Drumnadrochit (40/1), Ocean Rouge (66/1), Valentino Sunrise (66/1)
This doesn’t look quite as strong as the fillies novice race (the previous race on the card) with the penalised runner THE PADDOCKS given a chance to atone for his Royal Ascot defeat swimming in calmer waters here. His debut run here reads well and he should be given the chance to regain the winning thread over Almurr whose recent run is working out really well with four of those that finished behind him scoring since to give some depth to the form. None of the others that have run really appeal as likely winners and the main dangers to the two already mentioned are the newcomers Ritchie Valens and James Street both of whom should be respected if a market move is made for them.
