Successful by 5L over this trip on good ground in a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter last time out. Had placed over hurdles prior to that and is an interesting runner in this contest.

Well held in a couple of bumpers last year and failed to complete in three subsequent outings, two point-to-points and on hurdling debut last month.

Dual Flat winner but failed to complete in two novice hurdles on soft and heavy ground last November. Well beaten on the Flat in recent times.

In good form last winter winning twice over fences in December. Failed to complete in valuable handicap chases on his last three starts over hurdles and is one for the shortlist for a leading stable on his return to hurdling.

Point-to-point winner over 2m4f on good ground in June 2016. Struggled in that sphere since and beaten 30L when making his stable and Rules debut over C&D recently.

Victorious in a maiden handicap at Brighton (1m2f, good-to-soft) last August but struggled in two starts this term and probably best watched wearing a tongue tie for the first time on hurdles debut.
9
Horse silk
200/1
Failed to trouble the judge in 11 starts on the Flat and pulled up on hurdling and stable debut at Kempton in May. Others make more appeal.

Forecasts

Armaans Wish (13/8), Ilewin Geez (2/1), Robin Des Mana (5/2), Baby Ted (10/1), Conistone (14/1), American History (25/1), Well Said (40/1), Pack It In (50/1), Thomas Crown (200/1), All The Colours (200/1), Little Welshcake (200/1)

Verdict

ROBIN DES MANA has made up into a very useful chaser since his most recent start over hurdles and he is taken to register a first victory over the smaller obstacles in this novice contest. Long absent Armaans Wish showed some decent form in bumpers a couple of years ago and is taken to claim second while previous hurdling winner Ilewin Geez also looks capable of running well.
