Winner at Leopardstown in May 2017 (coming off a break, so absence here not an issue) but some very moderate efforts other than that. This trip has to be a concern too, and overall, it may pay to look elsewhere.
Coming back to a very good looking mark (now 2lb lower than last win), yet to win at this trip but seems to stay it and might come on a bit for a recent outing after a break. Not discounted.
Just the one win in 24 turf starts but went close to doubling his tally at Limerick last time, trying to make all and staying on well once headed (17f). Trip and ground no issue and simply looks too well handicapped to ignore.
Winner at Ballinrobe over 13f last year and didn't do too badly over hurdles at Downpatrick last time, but the concern might be how quick the ground is, as best form has come on good and slower.
Clonmel novice hurdle winner last September but very disappointing in three efforts since then, showing little. May come on for latest run after a break but plenty to prove at present, and others make more appeal.
Better known for hurdles and chase exploits but looks nicely enough handicapped here after three runs on the Flat, the latest coming at Ballinrobe last week. Trip should suit and is quite interesting.
Winner at Tramore over hurdles in June but two lesser efforts since then and hard to know what to expect here. Ground could be plenty quick enough for him as well and makes only minimal appeal.
Not far behind Political Policy at Limerick last time out, form that gives him a squeak here, but the blinkers tried there are discounted again and overall profile suggests he may not follow that good effort up with another. Risky.
Just the three wins in 45 starts under all codes and appears in no form at present after finishing well behind a few of these at Limerick last time. Others readily preferred.
Only win from 11 starts has come in a maiden hurdle at Down Royal last September but she's not been running badly of late and is worth a try at this trip. No problem with the ground and with little weight, may get in the frame.
Forecasts
Political Policy (7/2), All's Quiet (7/2), Minnie Dahill (13/2), Eight Till Late (7/1), All Body And Soul (7/1), Masterson (7/1), Colla Pier (12/1), Coolfighter (14/1), Micras (25/1), Mandamus (25/1)
Eight Till Late is quite interesting on his handicap debut on turf, and could go well, but POLITICAL POLICY has a great chance of making all from stall 3 and can go one better than he did at Limerick last time out. All Body And Soul and Minnie Dahill both make some appeal for the places.
- Political Policy
- Eight Till Late
- All Body And Soul
