Maiden on the Flat and over hurdles, but was beaten on the line on last start on the level at Wolverhampton. First run for this stable and looks to have a stiff task off top weight

Canadian import who is 0-6 for current trainer, but shaped a little better at Lingfield last time. Competes off the same mark and has prospects in an ordinary contest.

Three runs in maiden/novice company have been spread over the best part of two years, so he clearly has had his problems. Leading trainer reaches for cheekpieces for the gelding's first run in a handicap.

Won his first two races for current trainer and was not disgraced off a higher mark at Leopardstown last time. Back down 2lb and this Irish challenger looks to have solid claims.

Five-times AW winner, but is 0-20 on turf. Just behind Galileo's Spear at Lingfield on most recent outing and should be somewhere near that rival again.

On a long, losing run over hurdles and on the Flat. Not at his best when last sighted over timber and return to the level needs to spark a revival.

Well beaten in three handicaps last summer and returns to action after a long absence. Plenty to prove and will probably need this outing.

Forecasts

Circling Moon (5/4), Smashed (3/1), King Calypso (7/2), Galileo's Spear (5/1), Sir Pass I Am (10/1), Cry Wolf (20/1), Benbecula (40/1), Skylark Lady (66/1)

Verdict

It is hard to make a case for Benbecula and Skylark Lady, but most of the others can be given chances. Sir Pass I Am would be a huge danger if returning to last year's C&D form, but he still has a bit to prove and the percentage call looks to be CIRCLING MOON, who has been running well for his new trainer and can return to wining ways. Galileo's Spear and King Calypso look closely matched, while Smashed is the dark horse of the field on his handicap debut in first-time cheekpieces.
  1. Circling Moon
  2. Sir Pass I Am
  3. Galileo's Spear
