Yard not known for their juvenile winners let alone those on debut and 0/13 in this sphere over the past five years; best watched on initial run.

Fourth foal who cost £55,000 as a yearling and a half-brother to 6f winner Gabrielle; dam was also a 6f winner (including as a juvenile). Worth a look in the betting although yard are 1/22 in this discipline this year (well below usual strike-rate).

The most experienced in the field having already had three starts showing a steady progression with each outing. Not really seen to best effect last time at Goodwood (first try at 6f); looks sort to improve again.

From a good two-year-old yard he looked as though he needed the experience on his debut when last (of six) and never on terms over 5f at Ripon. Should do better with that experience under his belt and better expected given connections.

Stable have been quiet with their juveniles this year (1/12) but can ready one first time up. First foal of an unreliable 5f winner others make more appeal as things stand.

Made a very encouraging start to his career (first runner for the sire Kingman) beating the one home with experience but losing out to another newcomer (winner again since). The form of his debut further franked (5th has won) and an improver.
Trainer is no stranger to juvenile winners (30 plus on the board already this year) and hard to think that this Shamardal filly who is well bred won't be able to add to that score. Enough speed in pedigree to make her of interest at 6f on debut.

Left her debut form well behind having learnt plenty from her initial outing when finishing third in Class 2 race at Musselburgh over 5f. May well have been suited by the way that was run but sets a fair standard to aim at.

Forecasts

Wild Hope (2/1), The Mackem Bullet (7/2), Greenback Boogie (4/1), Diva D (4/1), Silver Dust (10/1), Fuente (16/1), Stronsay (66/1), Alfred The Grey (100/1)

Verdict

Brian Ellison’s runner The Mackem Bullet sets the standard here on the back of her third last time out in a better class race at Musselburgh but she could have been just picking up the pieces there and flattered. WILD HOPE is the one that makes the most appeal with his debut form working out very well and he’s taken to improve enough to take this. Greenbank Boogie has shaped well enough to see him taking a hand here putting his experience to good use with Diva D looking the pick of the newcomers.
