11/2
Not the most consistent over hurdles and makes his chase debut here. If taking to fences and running to something like his best, then he'd need to be considered even off top-weight.

Mirs Choicep18
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-6| J: Miss S L Bowen(7)| T: A W Carroll| OR:  94

Yet to win under rules and also only 2-26 in point-to-points, and is best watched now going handicapping having been seen in hunter chases the last twice.
3

Quintot26
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-5| J: W T Kennedy| T: J D Frost| OR:  93
7/1
Regressed over hurdles but managed to place on chase debut at Ffos Las last time out, and if building on that performance he'd be in with a chance.

Chase debut here having won one of his 12 starts over hurdles. Blinkers added but will need to step up on the majority of his form over the smaller obstacles.

Pulled-up and made frequent jumping errors on seasonal return at Fontwell last time. Will need to improve on that here but his form from last year would give him a good chance.

Buck Bravop124
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-13| J: James Bowen| T: D A Rees| OR:  87WS
6/1
In good form in point-to-points lately and makes his rules chase debut here, though has more on his plate in this sphere.
7

Sapphire Noireb116
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-13| J: S Bowen| T: N J Hawke| OR:  87
20/1
Slightly mixed form in point-to-points but impressed in that sphere last time out. Back under rules here and potentially worth considering if continuing to improve. Blinkers on.
8
Horse silk
Hollow Parkp1,t12
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-11| J: Benjamin Poste| T: Katy Price| OR:  85

Mixed form since switching to handicap hurdles, though there have been some signs of promise and being sent chasing may help her.

Horse silk
Findusatgorcombet21
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-10| J: Bryony Frost(3)| T: J D Frost| OR:  84| D
11/2
Kept over the same trip he won over at Fontwell last time out. 7lb higher in the weights which obviously doesn't help, but conditions should be fine and he can't be ruled out from following up.

Presenting Berkleyt144
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-7| J: Alan Johns| T: Tim Vaughan| OR:  81
16/1
Two runs over fences so far have seen him show little, and a big (and unlikely) forward step would be required for him to get involved in this.

Horse silk
We'll Be Thereb1,t26
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-4| J: David Noonan| T: W S Kittow| OR:  78
9/1
Remains 0-11 under rules in her career despite occasional suggestions of promise, and needs first-time blinkers to help her out following lackluster recent performances.
12
Horse silk
Georgina Joyt25
Age: 5|  Weight: 10-2| J: C Gethings| T: N J Hawke| OR:  76
8/1
Very best effort over hurdles came on soft ground but she appears to handle a sounder surface, and if she continues her progression now switching to fences she could be one to side with.
13
Horse silk
Lanta's Legacyt17
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-0| J: James Best| T: J Scott| OR:  69
40/1
Point-to-point winner but out of her depth on just about all of her starts under rules so far, it's likely to be a similar story here.

Forecasts

Findusatgorcombe (11/2), Indian Reel (11/2), Buck Bravo (6/1), Quinto (7/1), Georgina Joy (8/1), We'll Be There (9/1), Quick N' Easy (10/1), Mirs Choice (12/1), Walter Oneeightone (12/1), Presenting Berkley (16/1), Hollow Park (16/1), Sapphire Noire (20/1), Lanta's Legacy (40/1)

Verdict

A competitive event, where towards the bottom of the weights GEORGINA JOY appeals most. She showed some fair form over hurdles, and though the best of her efforts came on softer ground she shouldn't have an issue with conditions here. The way she progressed with most of her starts over the smaller obstacles suggests if she appreciates the switch to fences she could get off the mark here. Last time out winner Findusatgorcombe and Sapphire Noire on her return to racing under rules are others with claims.
  1. Georgina Joy
  2. Findusatgorcombe
  3. Sapphire Noire
