Horse A-Z
Promising sort who ran a very sound debut over 7f (on soft) at Ascot as a two-year-old (well found in the market). Ran to a fairly useful level on the AW on his return without looking to relish the 1m2f trip; open to improvement.

Lightly-raced gelding who has never really stepped forward from his debut as a two-year-old. Given his pedigree he should be suited by this trip but lots to do given his form so far.

His debut hinted at ability despite looking as though he needed the run from a fitness and experience point of view. Improved on his second start (more clued-up this time) although he did have the run of the race; more expected.

Badly in need of the experience on her debut she went backwards on her second start in first-time cheekpieces at Goodwood over 1m2f. Cheekpieces retained here but has a very tough task back to 1m.

Has a pedigree that made some appeal on paper but was far too green to show anything on her debut in a 7f minor event at Newmarket as a juvenile. Now up in trip she should have more to offer here.

Verdict

Andrew Balding took this race last year although his runner on that occasion had more experience than White Turf who he runs this time and he faces a tough rival in COURT OF JUSTICE. He was sent of favourite on his debut at Ascot last year and may well have needed the run on his return on the AW over further. He should be effective at this trip and back on a sound surface he’s taken to get off the mark for a yard that do well here. Rhigolter Rose comes from a stable that does well with this sort although she may just need this run and looks a little short on experience.
