Close third here in first-time blinkers following a four month break. Stable are 2-8 in this race and, with improvement likely, she makes some appeal off a lower mark here..
Lightly raced maiden who appears difficult to train but who also turns up ready to run. Fairly treated and of the more likely contenders.
C&D winner who would have a good chance off this mark on the pick of his earlier form. Hasn't really fired yet this season, except for two runs here, but the handicapper is giving him a chance and he's slipped below his last winning mark.
Arrived just too late here ten days ago but now meets Broadhaven Honey on 3lb worse terms for ¾L. On the plus side he is more favourably drawn than that rival.
Losing run stretches back over two years and 29 starts now. Tends to produce his better efforts over 6f and on AW tracks but the jockey booking is notable.
Failed to build on his eyecatching return by failing to last home when ridden more prominently at Goodwood. Those races were over 6f and all four of his victories have come at today's trip.
Has dropped significantly in the weights since her sole success on Fibresand but has been known to blow her chances at the start. Ideally suited by softer ground as was the case here three weeks ago.
Opened his account at the 30th attempt under this rider. That was a poor AW race so hard to envisage him adding to that success given his current mark and record on turf.
Has usually popped up once or twice a year since joining this stable and fast ground helps. Created a 25/1 shock in an amateurs race over Hamilton's stiff 6f and he has failed to follow up any of his previous nine victories.
Disappointing since a promising start to the season and looks held by a few of these on running here ten days ago.
Drawn on the wrong side when behind a few of these ten days ago. Better placed this time but she remains a maiden after 29 starts.
Outpaced and last home on both starts since returning from a four year break. Looks easy to oppose on that basis.
In good form lately apart from when soft ground counted against him. Has a decent draw and good young rider has a 15% success rate.
Has shown limited ability in all nine starts. Props up the handicap for good reason and stable going through a quiet spell.
Forecasts
Rio Santos (9/2), Essaka (5/1), Jaganory (5/1), Emjayem (5/1), Broadhaven Honey (11/2), Nuzha (8/1), Gaelic Wizard (10/1), Silently (16/1), Tally's Song (20/1), Kyllukey (25/1), Cruel Clever Cat (33/1), Barnsdale (40/1), Molly Jones (50/1), Baltic Gin (100/1)
Six of these ran in a similar race here ten days ago with Essaka and Broadhaven Honey finishing second and third. The weights favour the latter although she is not as well-drawn this time. Silently is attractively weighted judged on her best run in 2017 but RIO SANTOS looks a more likely winner. Rod Millman's charge has been a consistent sort this year when conditions have been quick and he just lost out to a stablemate last week. Cheekpieces are tried and his young rider is having good year.
- Rio Santos
- Essaka
- Broadhaven Honey
