Very lightly raced in recent times but has won around here. Looked in need of the run over 2m here three weeks ago and can be a player if stepping up on that. This trip should suit and support significant.
Four-time course winner and has slipped back below his last winning mark although his recent form isn't anything to shout about. Step back up to this trip should suit and dangerous to dismiss back here.
Won on heavy ground at Kelso two starts back off a 5lb lower mark. Under pressure and headed when running out two from home over this C&D last time. Needs to do better with cheakpieces added
Winless in eight attempts over hurdles but starting to look well handicapped as a result. Couple of recent spins on the flat whilst uninspiring should have freshened him up and Brian Hughes an interesting jockey booking.
A string of poor performances means she has dropped to a pretty dangerous mark. She can be awkward at the start and on recent evidence it is very hard to make a case for her even with the visor on to help.
Beaten 33L on handicap debut here over 3m. Dropped 3lb in the weights and comes back half a mile in trip but hard to fancy on that evidence all the same.
Has won here over C&D but not been in the winners enclosure for some time. Now a stone lower than his last winning mark but hard to fancy on recent evidence unless the market speaks massively in his favour.
Only had a couple of starts for this yard but has been well held on all starts so far over hurdles. impossible to fancy unless the market suggest otherwise.
Been a long time since we saw any worthwhile form and mark is tumbling as a result. Brought down before the race developed last time and market good guide.
Decent effort in finishing 3L fourth of six at Sedgefield (2m4f, good) in a novice hurdle last month before very poor run at Market Rasen (2m4½f, good) last time. Very hard to be confident after that. Cheekpieces added.
Little in the way of form under Rules when trained in Ireland although he did win a point-to-point. His firm in three runs for his new yard hasn't shown any improvement though and he looks limited
Best effort by some way when second over C&D last month having travelled way through the race. Claims if able to back that effort up but Brian Hughes jumps ship.
Forecasts
Kuiper Belt (10/3), Politeness (9/2), Gentleman James (9/2), Make It Happen (6/1), Strait Of Magellan (13/2), Green Zone (7/1), Uriah Heep (16/1), Frankie's Promise (16/1), Angel's Envy (20/1), Wyfield Rose (20/1), Book Of Love (50/1), Ella's Dene (50/1)
It could be significant Brian Hughes has decided to ride STRAIT OF MAGELLAN here and he is taken to return to winning ways of a very dangerous mark having had a spin on the flat recently. Recent winner Make It Happen is a danger with the cheekpieces added having run out last time. Green Zone likes it here and heads the list of dangers.
- Strait Of Magellan
- Make It Happen
