Caught the eye on debut at Salisbury and followed up with a solid run at Newbury next time. Latest effort was a backwards step though and has a bit to prove upped in trip for handicap debut.

Has ability and gets the trip well. Disconcerting effort last time is a blot on the copybook, but otherwise respected and worth a check in the betting.

Going the right way and beaten far in a better looking race at Doncaster on Sunday. Needs to up his game a tad, but a worthy contender in this grade. Rider's claim a bonus at the weights.

Mixed form prior to getting off the mark when upped to 1m2f at Windsor on Monday. Comprehensively justified favouritism on that occasion, the gelding looks capable of going well on ground which should suit; despite picking up a 6lb penalty.

Trip and ground should be fine but recent form suggests this filly is becoming expensive to follow; held off this mark latest and needs to find a little extra.

Yard flying just now and has scope to improve over this trip (tried 1m2f for the first time when finishing fourth of 12 last time out). Yet to be tried on ground this firm on turf, however.

Verdict

A tricky one to call as Bajan Gold looked the part when getting off the mark at Windsor on Monday and has to be respected under a 6lb penalty. However, his previous form leaves a little to be desired and his lack of consistency is cause for concern. Therefore, it could pay to take a chance on SUPREMATISM building on what was a good effort at Doncaster at the weekend and, with the assistance of a 5lb claimer in the saddle, Marco Botti's colt gets the nod on grounds of value. Comrade In Arms represents an in-form yard and looks the best of the rest.
  1. Suprematism
  2. Bajan Gold
  3. Comrade In Arms
