Consistent son of Cape Cross who won well on seasonal return and has peformed with credit in all three subsequent starts. Will race prominently and sure to give supporters a good run for their money.
Won twice over a mile at Kempton (AW) last term and reappeared there after 200-day break to run an eyecatching seventh there in April . May still be unexposed on turf but has to prove he is as effective as on artificial surfaces.
Two good efforts this spring but ran poorly last time at York in first-time cheekpieces which are now dispensed with. Yard ticking over nicely at present. Not out of it off 1lb lower than latest outing.
Won over this trip at Ayr in May but well beaten at Beverley a week later and again last time here over 7f. May need a little more help from the assessor before scoring again.
In decent form of late, winning over this trip at Carlisle on penultimate start then far from disgraced in better race at York last time. First-time tongue tie applied now and could benefit from the expected strongly run race.
Yard still going great guns but has finished last in each of his two starts over the last nine days and the step up in trip doesn't on the face of it appear the obvious solution. Others preferred.
Forecasts
Ghayyar (3/1), Mudallel (10/3), Club Wexford (7/2), Lamloom (7/2), My Amigo (11/2), Afandem (10/1)
With Lamlook and My Amigo likely to set a decent clip, the race may be set up for a stalker such as GHAYYAR to swoop and land the spoils. He's run well on his last few starts and should be thereabouts. Mudallel has fair form on the All Weather so is respected if carrying that forward to turf and may prove the biggest danger to the selection.
