Dropped two grades and first-time cheekpieces applied here. Has eased 6lb in total after three lak lustre efforts so far. This is easier though so is no forlorn hope if back on song.
Stable companion of Regimented. Won Goodwood mile maiden on debut last year. Not disgraced last time when raced prominently before fading final furlong in fair race and makes handicap bow here off feasible mark.
Going for thre in a row having made an impact since switching to handicaps with two good wins. May still have more to offer off 5lb higher mark and ticks many boxes.
Won over 7f at Chelmsford in April before disappointing on handicap bow at Musselburgh. Better latest when half length runner-up over C&D and has been raised 2lb. Top trainer reaches for first-time blinkers which may have a positive effect.
Promise in two runs last term and made winning return at Wolverhampton (7f) this spring. Stayed on late both starts since, including at Chester latest from hopeless position. Better prospects here on more conventional track off 4lb lower mark.
Unraced at two but has done well this campaign since winning on debut at Lingfield in February. Two-length second at Leicester latest, and while handicapper may have his measure he cannot be lightly dismissed.
Both wins have come on AW at Chelmsford when with former handler Michael Bell. Never went the pace at Chester latest on second start for current handler. 4lb lower here but needs to get his act together.
Zoffany colt who won at Chester on second start last term as a juvenile. Returns following wind surgery after more than nine months off and yard having a fairly quiet time. May be better for the outing.
3lb lower than Pontefract soft ground win last season. Beaten a long way at Ripon latest after a poor start and yard yet to saddle a winner in 2018. First-time hood, but others are preferred.
Forecasts
De Medici (9/4), Hombre Casado (7/2), Bon Scotte (9/2), Mosalim (5/1), Sha La La La Lee (10/1), Zoffalee (10/1), Regimented (10/1), Joe's Spirit (20/1), Dawn Breaking (50/1)
Hombre Casado and MOSALIM are the two to concentrate on here with narrow preference for the latter who may well find the necessary improvement wearing the headgear for the first time. Hombre Casado bids for a hat-trick and should go well. He'll be poised to expose any flaws in the selection. De Medici won't be far away on recent evidence, and handicap debutant Bon Scotte is another who enters the equation.
- Mosalim
- Hombre Casado
- Bon Scotte
