Seems to be running into form for current yard, shaping well when neck third of 10 to Ice Canyon at Chester last time, and encouraging that he saw his race out better than has been the case. Races off same mark now, and one to note.
Winner over 1¼m at Chelmsford in January and February. Possibly not so effective on turf, but better than result when third of 8 to Light of Joy at Leicester last time after a slow start, and not dismissed.
Won 1m handicap at Hamilton last autumn on heavy ground, and running consistently without reward this term, including at this trip. Versatile sort should give his running again, so merits consideration.
Became disappointing for Jessica Harrington in 2017, and no promise in two runs for current yard. Returns from a break with a hood fitted for the first time, and watching brief advised.
Won at around a mile at Pontefract and Beverley in 2017. No impression over 1½m in two tries this season, but stamina possibly stretched, and now drops back in trip with cheekpieces discarded.
Best effort for Michael Dods when fourth in a 1m maiden at Redcar. Well held on handicap bow, and starts out for a new yard after a break with something to prove.
Yet to progress from fair debut over am at Thirsk in April, but not persevered with last time, and possible he will do better now entering handicaps. Market will be informative.
Failed to beat a rival in four starts last year, but fallen in the weights, and more promise when fourth of 14 at Kempton in April. Tongue tie refitted, and cheekpieces also reached for now.
Stepped up on earlier efforts when landing a Ripon seller last month, but started very slowly and well held over C&D on latest outing. One to be wary of.
Front-runner who won at Pontefract for Declan Carroll last year, but hasn't been seeing his races out this season, and makes little appeal despite a falling mark.
Forecasts
Maghfoor (3/1), Shamrokh (3/1), Alfred Richardson (5/1), Blue Medici (7/1), Fleetfoot Jack (15/2), Freud (9/1), Ninepin Bowler (14/1), Escape Clause (33/1), Metronomic (33/1), Mysterial (50/1)
MAGHFOOR showed he was back to a workable mark when keeping on well to be a close third at Chester on his latest start, and can score here assuming he's put his weak-finishing ways behind him. He may have most to fear from the consistent Fleetfoot Jack, although Shamrokh was better than the result at Leicester last time, and also enters calculations.
- Maghfoor
- Fleetfoot Jack
- Shamrokh
