Career best effort came over C&D two years ago. Has generally been running over further including when runner-up at Ffos Las a month ago. Racing against her own sex this time and nicely weighted based on that latest run.
Has failed to make any show in four starts over hurdles including three here. Up in trip for handicap debut and opening mark hardly seems fair.
C&D winner who drops in class and is down to her last winning mark. She can be too keen for her own good and the quicker ground this time may see her stamina hold out a little longer. Stable took this last year.
Flattered by her proximity to Birch Vale at Hexham and strictly a shade too high in the weights here. Needs to improve but she has the potential to do so.
Largely been campaigned in point-to-points and hunter chases of late. Starts life for a new trainer today and a vast amount of improvement on most recent form would be needed to take this.
New headgear combination coupled with better ground saw her battle gamely for a narrow Southwell victory. An 8lb rise seems harsh but she may now be on the upgrade.
Has shown some ability but at the same time has failed to stay this far on her last two attempts. This will be the first time she has tried to do so in cheekpieces, but others are still preferred.
Figures on a good mark based on her 2016 form, but she failed to show enough on her recent comeback to suggest she is ready to take advantage.
Produced a career best at Southwell last time and has undergone wind surgery since. Has each-way claims in a weak race.
Well backed at Perth but failed to strike a telling blow. Clearly thought capable of better but she remains hard to recommend until showing more.
Tailed off on all her latest starts at long odds and she is impossible to fancy at present.
Now a 21-race maiden, and far from the most reliable of mares. Has claims on some of her better efforts, such as when runner up here over 3m, but equally likely to get tailed off.
Forecasts
Western Sunrise (3/1), Gi Jayne (7/2), Martha's Benefit (5/1), Lady Vitesse (6/1), Hermanus (7/1), Mrs Burbidge (14/1), Blue Baton (16/1), Magic Of Milan (16/1), Candlelight Story (20/1), Dry Ol'party (22/1), Definite Winner (40/1), Lady Vivona (50/1)
This should take little winning and connections of GI Jayne will be happy to have found a race as bad as this to offset a harsh 8lb rise for her narrow Southwell victory. Western Sunrise has C&D form which gives her every chance at this level, but MRS BURBIDGE makes most appeal as she drops significantly in class and the faster ground should help her stay this far.
- Mrs Burbidge
- Western Sunrise
