Started 50/1 and finished a well beaten last of five on debut at Ripon (1m good) earlier this month; massive step forward needed.
Shamardal gelding (cost £5,500 in November 2017). Started 80/1 and finished in the midfield behind Global Conqueror on debut at Leicester (1m good) earlier this month; improvement likely but needed.
Out of a Listed-placed 1m2f-1m3f+ winner and by High Chaparral so highly likely to need further than 7f in time. Offered some hope for the future on debut at Beverley in May (7.5f), without shaping like a surefire winner.
Half-brother to the 1m3f-1m4f winner Bel and has looked short on pace in two starts over 1m, so not one to consider today dropped back in trip to 7f at a sharp track like Thirsk.
Cost 250,000 gns as a yearling, but was never involved on debut at Salisbury last month (6f good to soft), finishing ninth of 13 to subsequent Lingfield scorer Embour; improvement likely now upped in trip.
Placed on all four AW starts, most recently when second on handicap debut at Chelmsford (1m) last month. $400,000 foal who sets the standard dropped in trip for turf debut.
Unraced fourth foal by Dubawi out of the French 1m2f Listed winner Criticism. Half-sister to 1m5f AW winner Belabour and found a weak race in which to commence her racing career.

Kawasir (4/9), Magical Touch (3/1), Born In Thorne (8/1), Juthoor (9/1), Borodin (14/1), Mutawaary (40/1), The Mekon (50/1), Heirslookingatyou (66/1), Ideal Angel (150/1)
Saeed Bin Suroor hardly gave a glowing endorsement for his three-year-old crop in an interview recorded earlier in the season, but it's quite possible that the filly Magical Touch will be good enough to figure in the shake up here in a very modest looking affair. Juthoor should improve upon her Salisbury debut now upped in trip (but needs to), so the most obvious looking winner is the turf newcomer KAWASIR. Runner up on handicap debut off a mark of 81 at Chelmsford last month, that's plenty good enough to take this race; with the drop in trip at a sharp track further strengthening his claims.
