C&D winner of a maiden in October and has generally been running well since including finishing second of 14 beaten 3½L at the Curragh last month over 6f. Will appreciate drop back to this trip.

Has shown plenty of persistence in her last three starts including a spin over this trip at Navan earlier in the month on good to firm ground when fourth of 13 beaten 3¼L. Enters calculations here.

8/1
Distance winner that has looked a little short in recent starts including disappointing over this trip earlier this month at the Curragh. Below par form looks set to continue here.

C&D winner here in November when seeing off 10 rivals on soft ground. Acts on the ground who looks a progressive type and shortlisted here.

Well held on both seasonal starts to date and appears to be short on enthusiasm lately now racing 9lb lower than last winning mark.

16/1
Winner of a 6f AW handicap at Dundalk last season from her seven starts but appeared badly out-paced on seasonal debut at Navan earlier this month. Hard to fancy on recent evidence.

Snow Patch16
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-4| J: Sean Davis(7)| T: D Bunyan & G O'Leary| OR:  68| D
13/2
Distance winner at Dundalk on the AW in December and has shown flickers of promise in two starts this term, both at Navan over this trip. Each way claims in this contest.

Rapid Reactionh37
Age: 3|  Weight: 8-4| J: A J Slattery(7)| T: J F Grogan| OR:  68
5/1
Ran better than her price suggested in a Curragh handicap on heavy ground last month over this trip. Plenty more needed in this group.

Forecasts

Aspen Belle (9/4), Aurora Eclipse (9/2), Rapid Reaction (5/1), Snow Patch (13/2), Dandyman Port (7/1), Abamanova (8/1), Little Clarinet (10/1), Clare Island (16/1)

Verdict

ASPEN BELLE is clearly in good heart at the moment continuing to go well following her win at Cork last month in a couple of handicaps at Sligo and Listowel. The 7lb higher mark does not seem to be hindering the five-year-old and she can improve once again to land the spoils here from C&D winner Aurora Eclipse and Dandyman Port.
  1. Aspen Belle
  2. Aurora Eclipse
  3. Dandyman Port
