Experienced campaigner who has recorded 10 of his 11 wins on the AW. Last of 13 back on turf on latest outing and has a bit to prove off 2lb lower.
English import who won two of his 15 races for Richard Hannon. Interesting to see how he fares on first start for new stable on seasonal reappearance.
Stepped up on reappearance run when a running-on third of 12 at Listowel earlier this month. Seems to be returning to his best and looks a player off the same handicap mark.
Not many miles on the clock and was wearing cheekpieces for the first time following a short break when seventh of 14 over 5f at Navan recently. This longer trip will suit and he is 2lb lower with the headgear retained.
Only one win in 15 starts but has been running with credit this season and had Kindly behind when fourth at Navan on latest outing. A visor is fitted for the first time and she has prospects if it has a positive effect.
Has been kept busy this year, winning twice. Ran well to be third of nine off this mark at The Curragh on latest outing and the blinkers he wore for the first time there are fitted again.
Capped some good efforts on the AW at Dundalk when winning a 13-runner 7f handicap in January. Returns from a break off a 4lb higher mark and has to cope with the switch back to turf.
Still a maiden after five starts, the last two in handicap company over C&D. Competes off a falling mark in first-time blinkers and has possibilities after showing promise on latest run.
Back to winning ways when successful over C&D last month after which he was raised 5lb. Due to run at Limerick yesterday.
Forecasts
Captain Power (7/4), Count Of Carabass (5/2), Togoville (11/2), Kindly (8/1), Dandyman Port (9/1), Brave Display (12/1), Guanabara Bay (16/1), Solomons Seal (16/1), Procurator (33/1)
Count Of Carabass has to be considered if turning out again, but the selection is CAPTAIN POWER, who looked to be returning to his best at Listowel last time and can take another step forward. Cases can be made for Kindly, Dandyman Port and Brave Display, but perhaps a bigger danger may be posed by Solomons Seal, who could be well treated and runs in blinkers for the first time.
- Captain Power
- Solomons Seal
- Dandyman Port
