Disappointed connections with a series of desolate runs last term and on return to the track last month. Although stable need watching at this meeting, first time tongue-tie unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement here.
Plenty of promise on all three starts over hurdles since March including finishing second of 14 in a Ballinrobe handicap hurdle last month and enters calculations here.
Shown very little in three maiden hurdles. This would be much more suitable on handicap debut and market likely to reveal expectations.
First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here following some grim performances last term and on seasonal debut at Down Royal last month.
Hints of promise in a Clonmel maiden hurdle last month but well beaten since. Not ruled out but a couple of below-par runs to shake off.
Jumped big at some and slight mistakes at others in a Clonmel handicap hurdle last month on good ground. Worth a market check with adept claimer in the plate.
Plenty of promise in his second of 16 beaten 4L behind the likable Courtin Bob in a Tramore handicap hurdle earlier this month though has been well beaten on the ground and over trip in the past.
33/1 winner of a Clonmel handicap hurdle on good ground last month over 2m3½f led to a 4lb rise in the weights and a 16½L defeat at Down Royal. Could be of interest.
Nothing of note in a number of dour displays last term and on seasonal debut when well held at Listowel this month. Out of sorts and this looks a tough ask.
Solid and consistent on the point-to-point scene and not seen over hurdles since failing here at this meeting 12 months ago.
Still a maiden after 15 starts and was well beaten once again at Hexham and Down Royal last month. Hard to fancy on latest evidence.
Well beaten and no impression in three starts over hurdles since May including a 20L defeat at Tramore earlier this month. Difficult to envisage first-time blinkers making any difference.
Has looked over-whelmed in a number of appearances including on seasonal debut here last month when well beaten over 13L in a 2m5½f handicap hurdle. Hard to construct much of a case for the mare.
Struggled in three starts in maiden hurdle company and failed to beat a rival home in two handicap hurdles before finishing 12th of 13 at Kilbeggan earlier this month. Looks opposable.
Forecasts
Shantou Sisu (7/2), Getaway Rose (4/1), Coole Craft (8/1), Kickham (9/1), Lady Of The Sea (10/1), Scotch Quay (11/1), Shipwreck (12/1), Maureen's Star (12/1), Redwood Boy (14/1), Juliespaddockwalk (14/1), Alice's Star (20/1), Doyen Bay (20/1), Don't Be Hasty (25/1), The Broom Squire (40/1)
The Mags Mullins-trained GETAWAY ROSE can build on two promising efforts in April and May, when hitting the frame in competitive handicap hurdle over similar trips,to land the spoils here under jockey Danny Mullins. The progressive looking pair of Lady Of The Sea and Shantou Sisu can continue their improvement at Clonmel and Wexford recently to battle for the minors here. Worthy of consideration at a price is May Clonmel winner Redwood Boy who is better than his last run at Down Royal last month.
- Getaway Rose
- Lady Of The Sea
