Yet to trouble the judge but shaped with minor promise from an uncompromising position at Chepstow (2m, soft) last time. Chance this trip/ground will suit better and a market check is needed.

Has won over C&D but he run of poor form continued here last time when again beaten a very long way. Down yet another 5lb as mark continues to plummet, but hard to fancy at present.

1lb lower than when winning a Huntingdon last April for Dan Skelton. Not done a great deal since and although it was a slightly better effort at Perth last time, others are preferred once again.

Ran well on first run since the autumn here over 2m (good) last month. Dropped 1lb for that effort and this step up in trip should suit. Not discounted if building on return.

Moderate strike rate of 2-28 over hurdles and recent runs have not been encouraging. First start for seven months today and likely to need the run unless market screams his name.

Just the one win from 21 starts and was on the downgrade when last seen back in September. Well handicapped as a result and moved to yard that do so well with recruits from elsewhere so a market check very much advised here.

Hasn't won for a long time but was well backed at Huntingdon (2m, good) last time but ran poorly and was tailed off. Top rider keeps the faith here and dropped another 2lb. Interesting to see if the money comes for him once again.

Form has dramatically tailed off since landing a gamble over fences at Ffos Las last year. On a dangerous mark now but can't be taken seriously in current mood unless the market suggests otherwise.

Won have gone close at Doncaster two starts back but for falling late on. Made amends at Warwick last time when winning well over a furlong shorter. 7lb higher here but in rude health which is more than can be said for most of these.

Two starts so far in handicaps and has struggled badly in both. Hard to make a case for at present until we see much more.

Four starts in handicaps so far and beaten a long way each time. Was backed two starts ago so clearly thought to have some ability. Mark continues to fall but hard to recommend all the same.

Twice a winner over hurdles in the past but struggled in recent starts. Didn't shape too badly on return from a break here last time but normal cheekpieces left off again.

Won off a 3lb higher mark back in October 2016. Shown nothing like that form since however. Didn't shape too badly at Worcester three weeks ago and capable of getting in the frame if on a going day.

Intifadah (2/1), Chatelier (3/1), Greenworldsolution (7/1), Court Duty (12/1), Hear The Chimes (12/1), Kiwayu (14/1), Celtic Monarch (20/1), Suffice (20/1), Kingston (20/1), Handy Hollow (20/1), Sierra Oscar (22/1), Benissimo (25/1), Bertie Blake (25/1), Discay (25/1), Billy Teal (100/1)

Verdict

Lots of these are on the downgrade and it is not as competitve as the numbers suggest. Intifadah has dropped in the weights and makes his first start for a yard that always end to eek out some improvement from their recruits so is respected. Hear The Chimes attracted good support last time but ran poorly, he could be a player if bouncing back. Minor preference is for CHATALIER who has the best recent form of these by some way and can win again.
  1. Chatelier
  2. Intifadah
  3. Hear The Chimes
