Tailed off both starts to date and takes a step up in trip here to try and find some improvement, but will be of more interest in handicaps after today. No realistic chance.

Nicely bred, with the dam a relative of winners at Listed/Group level. Clearly needed the experience at Leicester a couple of weeks ago but was getting the hang of things late and will improve plenty. Has to be considered.

Tailed off at huge prices both starts and makes next to no appeal here.

Didn't look entirely devoid of ability at big prices in maidens at Lingfield and Sandown last year and looks the type to do better this season, but likely to need this first run of the year and one to watch rather than bet today.

Makes some appeal on pedigree, being a full brother to useful winners Bible Belt (won a Group 3) and Bob Le Beau (G1 winner in America). Likely to want a bit further in time but worth keeping an eye on in the market all the same.
Full brother to Crystal River (Listed winner at Chantilly last October) and Secret Ambition (multiple winner Meydan/Jebel Ali), and this looks a suitable introduction for a yard with a 33% strike rate with their 3yos here. Chances.

Half-brother to War Department, who showed promise as a 2yo, and this one has shown improvement on all his three starts to date. Trip and ground both clearly fine, obvious chance on form but a couple of these open to plenty of improvement.

Half-sister to Wrekin Sunset (placed at Listed level at 3) and she showed plenty of promise in her third at Kempton on debut despite obvious signs of greenness. Should improve and if fit for seasonal debut, could get in the shake-up.

Forecasts

Zain City (10/11), Midnight Meeting (7/4), Ajddarr (11/2), Junderstand (8/1), Yaa Mous (20/1), Kirkstall Spirit (25/1), Compass Point (50/1), Catlin (50/1), Excel Mate (100/1), Charlie Dove (100/1)

Verdict

Zain City should be on the premises and looks one for placepot punters but both Midnight Meeting and AJDDARR make plenty of appeal on paper and one of them might be good enough. Preference is for the latter, who may well leave his debut run at Leicester well behind here and is taken to score. Junderstand looks a likely improver at some stage, and Kirkstall Spirit needs a look in the market.
