Horse A-Z
Son of Germany out of a mare who is an unraced half-sister to a point-to-point winner. 33/1 and beaten 9L on debut. Needs to do much more.

8/11
Son of Saint Des Saints out of a mare who won over 1m2f on the flat. He's a half-brother so multiple winners including an Italian Grade 1 winner. Likely type on paper and Patrick Mullins booked.

Point-to-point winner, best effort to date when finishing fourth of 14 over C&D four weeks ago. Slowly getting the hang of things but is vulnerable to anything with talent.

11/1
Unraced son of Presenting purchased for €19,000 as a four-year-old. Seventh of 17 on debut at Fairyhouse on heavy ground inApril. Should come on for that and better ground a plus.
5

22/1
Craigsteel gelding that cost €9,000 as a three-year-old. Dam was unraced but related to several NH winners. Market a good guide on rules debut.
6
Horse silk
100/1
Pulled up in a couple of Point-to-points before a very disappointing bumper debut at Wexford (2m4f, good). Drops back in trip and tongue tie goes on but needs much more.
8
Horse silk
50/1
Took a big backwards step from first run when beaten a very long way at Kilbeggan last time. Hard to fancy on that evidence and best watched for now.
9
Horse silk
10/1
Sholokhov gedling that cost €50,000. Won a point-to-point on only second run in that sphere in April. Starts life here under rules for powerful yard and very much one of the likelier types in this field.
11
Horse silk
25/1
Outran 50/1 odds when sixth in a good bumper here on debut last April and showed that no fluke when running to a similar level back here in November. Flopped on return at Ballinrobe and needs to bounce back here.

8/1
Son of Yeats that has improved with every start so far under rules. Only beaten just under 1L last time at Down Royal and ran well here the time before. Player if able to build on that.
13
Horse silk
50/1
Very cheap purchase at €2,500. Didn't cut much ice in two starts in point-to-points and makes rules debut today with the addition of a tongue tie.
14
Horse silk
100/1
Beaten a long way in a couple of bumpers last summer. Been running poorly in point-to-points since and very hard to make a case for back under rules.
Daughter of St Jovite out of a dam that was unplaced on the flat. Market will be best guide on rules debut.
Multiplex gelding out of a mare that was placed in a bumper. Cheap purchase at just €5,500 and market best guide on debut.

Horse silk
50/1
Failed to complete on both starts in points. Beaten 45L in a bumper before being pulled up over hurdles last time. Readily opposed here.
Son of Scorpion out of a Presenting mare. Sixth foal, dam unraced half-sister to bumper/2m6f and 3m hurdle winner Valentines Lady. Market a good guide on debut.
Gelded son of Shirocco who wore a hood on debut and only beat one rival home. Hood is disposed of here but hard to fancy all the same.

Verdict

Batcio is slowly getting the hang of things but is vulnerable to anything with talent. Chavi Artist has the potential to improve and can be a player in this field for sure. Preference is the finale though is for SERIOUS EGO who won a point when last seen, cost €50,000 and is starting life under rules for his powerful yard today.
  1. Serious Ego
  2. Chavi Artist
  3. Batcio
