Twice a winner last year including one over C&D (beat recent Carlisle scorer Stone The Crows) and has now slipped back below that winning mark. Not really shown much in four handicaps this year failing to take advantage of a falling mark.
Appears to be an improved model this year winning both his races in handicaps in lower grades but looking a progressive sort. Up in grade and off a 10lb higher mark here he'll need to show more again but can't be ruled out given his two performances.
One of his two wins this year came here over a shorter trip and he proved that he stays this sort of trip with a win at Thirsk to follow up that victory. Despite not winning last time he still shaped as though he was in form (poorly placed); fancied.
Useful handicapper on the Flat and over hurdles although hasn't won for a while in either sphere. Will race off his lowest mark for a while here on his second run back from wind surgery and should have come on from that AW outing.
Type who always looked as though he would improve for handicaps having taken a maiden on his final three-year-old start (first AW run). Moved through that race smoothly and now makes his handicap debut back on turf; one to note in market.
Rattled off a handicap hat-trick on the AW and only had his winning run ended by a thriving sort in February and carried on that progression back on turf. Up 7lb for his second last time but still of interest and not left out of calculations.

An interesting handicap with plenty that can be given a chance although a few of them will have to maintain their progress off their new marks. New Society comes here aiming for a hat-trick but will have to cope with a 10lb higher mark and Sky Marshall is another who has heading up the handicap off the back of some very solid performances. Magellan doesn’t look overburdened on his handicap debut but does have to concede on the fitness front to quite a few rivals. William Hunter could do better now on his second run back from wind surgery although he might need a greater test of stamina and course winner STONIFIC is taken to get back on the winning trail after his good recent spell.
