Well held in contests at Chepstow and Lingfield last month. Qualifies for a handicap mark after this and that looks his likely route forward.
Promising debut at Yarmouth last September and raced wide when last of eight at Lingfield on his reappearance in April. Has decent claims in a weak-looking race.
Canford Cliffs colt who cost only €1,000 as a yearling, but is a half-brother to 6f winner Caius College Girl. Beaten a long way on debut at Lingfield and needs to take a huge step forward.
Sent off at long odds when well beaten in outings at Kempton and Newbury, though did run better in the latter contest. In good hands and should do better in time, but his future probably lies in handicaps.
Unfancied in the betting when down the field in both starts at Goodwood and Kempton last month. Another whose future probably lies in handicap company.
Son of Brazilian sire Leroidesanimaux who cost 70,000 gns as a yearling and is a half-brother to a couple of winners from 7f to 1m1f. Ran green and did not get a clear run on debut at Chelmsford, so is something of an unknown quantity.
Harbour Watch filly whose dam won over 5f and 6f. Probably best watched on debut unless there is market support for her.
A filly by French sire Siyouni, she fetched €120,000 as a yearling and is from a winning family. Purchase price and pedigree entitles her to respect on debut.
Out the back in both starts at Windsor last summer. Likely to need this reappearance run, but is worth a market check given her connections.
Forecasts
Pilot Wings (15/8), Jurz (11/4), Sovrano (7/2), Lily Of Year (7/1), Honourbound (14/1), Smooth Sailing (20/1), Copilot (40/1), Sea Millions (50/1), Peveril Point (80/1)
Sovrano is probably better than he showed on debut at Chelmsford and is one to keep an eye on with his stable in better form, while Lily Of Year would not need to be anything special to figure in this company. The obvious one, though is JURZ, who was compromised by racing wide last time and is better judged on his debut third at Yarmouth in September. Pilot Wings showed improvement on his second start and is another to consider.
- Jurz
- Sovrano
- Pilot Wings
