Solid juvenile campaign has been followed by three consistent runs when not disgraced last month. Still looking for the final piece in the jigsaw and place claims in first-time cheekpieces.

Slowly in to stride when well beaten, tailed off on seasonal start in a Listowel handicap earlier this month and first time hood unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.

13th of 20 but not beaten far in a bunched finish in a Leopardstown handicaps on good to firm and gives the impression there is more to come.

10-race maiden and cannot boast any great level of consistency in form as shown in three starts last month. Unlikely to be troubling the judge in this company.

Hints of promise in three starts since finishing ninth of 13 beaten 25L in a Cork maiden. Flatters to deceive and more of the same here.

Slight improvement last time out when markedly stepped up in trip in a Leopardstown handicap over 1m4f on good to firm. More progress possible and not dismissed.

Has produced a number of inept performances in three career starts including two below par runs at Naas and Listowel recently. Others preferred.

Well beaten as a juvenile and no impression, never nearer on return to the track in a Cork maiden last month over 7f and needs to improve significantly here.

Well held in trio of maidens on the AW at Dundalk before being detached over 2f out in a Limerick handicap when last seen in April. Another struggles looks on the cards here.

Plenty of encouragement in three of her four starts this season including a ¾L defeat in a Navan handicap on Wednesday. More to come here and another bold show looks likely.

Forecasts

Roses Queen (11/8), Flindt (3/1), Machiavelli (4/1), Villa Maria (6/1), Cacique Royale (8/1), Dawn Hoofer (11/1), Magic Sea (14/1), Bonnie Baugh (14/1), Passing Trade (25/1), Jazz Lady (25/1), Elusive Don (28/1), Easkey Lad (33/1), Liars Corner (33/1)

Verdict

Roses Queen and Cacque Royale like to get on with things from the front and could subsequently set the race up for the Johnny Murtagh-trained MACHIAVELLI who can finally get his head in front in first-time cheekpieces, who is clearly better over this trip. Sligo winner Flindt along with Roses Queen are worthy of consideration to fill the minor honours.
  1. Machiavelli
  2. Flindt
  3. Roses Queen
