Couldn't have been more impressive when winning over C&D last month but has disappointed a shade since. Had excuses last time out when the saddle slipped at Catterick. May struggle from further up in the handicap this time though.
Won a turf maiden last year but only win since came at Wolverhampton in February. Largely struggling of late, including on return to turf recently and hard to fancy in current mood.
Form tailed off towards the back end of last year and showed very little on return here last time. Tends to run below par at this course and others preferred.
Won twice on AW this winter but yet to win in eight starts on turf and showed very little at Carlisle on Friday. Needs to prove he can handle turf.
Won a Goodwood maiden on second start but disappointed throughout 2017. His efforts this time around have been more encouraging for his new yard though and if he can negate the widest draw, he has to have a chance of getting his head back in front.
Arrives here bidding for a hat-trick and clearly thriving at present. The stiffer nature of this track could see him improve and has place claims at least from a 5lb higher mark.
He was prolific in 2015 but not got his head in front since a C&D success in August. Inconsistent but likes fast ground and capable of bouncing back here.
Just won once since winning a maiden in 2014. Ran well at Redcar at the end of 2017 but struggled in two subsequeunt AW runs and opposable on return having never run well fresh.
One of his two turf wins came over C&D and not dismissed after a more promising effort at Chelmsford last time. Jockey booking a positive and lurking on a workable mark. Likely to try and make all.
Forecasts
Alsvinder (5/2), Dapper Man (3/1), War Whisper (9/2), Foxtrot Knight (7/1), Crosse Fire (8/1), Lexington Place (14/1), Musharrif (16/1), Liquid (16/1), Astrophysics (33/1)
DAPPER MAN arrives here bidding for a hat-trick and despite his career high mark, he can't be dismissed in current mood with useful claiming taking 7lb off his back. War Whisper has been running well for his new yard and Cross Fire shaped like a return to form may be imminent at Chelmsford last time.
- Dapper Man
- War Whisper
