Successful over 5f at Hamilton (good-to-firm) as a two-year-old, but has drawn a blank on ten subsequent starts although second behind Eeh Bah Gum was a very good effort last time. Interesting now off same mark.

On an appealing mark now and ran well when finishing just behind Undercover Brother at Catterick last week. Very closely matched with that rival and should be in the shake up again.

Made all to take a three runner 5f claimer at Wolverhampton in August (5/6f), but that form doesn't amount too all that much and beaten on all four starts since.

Won back-to-back races over this trip at Bath and Chelmsford the last twice. 5lb higher mark here not likely to stop him if in the same mood and key player once more.

Has been beaten a very long way on all three starts in handicaps to date and impossible to be positive about chances at present.

Eight race maiden who returned from a five-month break back on turf at Ripon recently (6f good to firm), weakening to finish eighth of 11 to Me Before You. More required, but is entitled to come on for that start but races from out the weights here.

Best effort so far when finishing second at Musselburgh (5f, good) on first start for seven months five weeks ago. Entitled to come on for that effort but races from out the weights here and will require more.

Forecasts

Spot Lite (2/1), Undercover Brother (5/2), Donny Belle (5/1), Rock Hill (6/1), Honey Gg (7/1), Optimickstickhill (8/1), Funkadelic (8/1), Cardaw Lily (14/1), Equilibrium (33/1)

Verdict

A tight little contest this with progress likely from a few of these. Undercover Brother and Donny Belle are closely matched on their running at Catterick behind a handicap good thing last week. Rock Hill could be a danger to all if coming on for his reappearance run at Doncaster but preference here is for SPOT LITE. Rod Milmans charge is chasing a hat-trick having won snugly the last twice. He can take this with conditions to suit.
  1. Spot Lite
  2. Rock Hill
  3. Undercover Brother
