Quirky sort who survived an eventful round to score at Fontwell. Goes well for this rider and hard to rule out if concentrating on the job in hand.
Third on this card last year and easy winner at Hackwood Park this year. Never going well at Fontwell last time and likely the track did not suit. Stable have won this previously and he looks the type to stay this far.
Irish challenger won a 4m point-to-point at Kinsale on Saturday and top amateur Barry O'Neill has won six times on him.
Arrived for this last year via the May meeting at Cheltenham and was pulled up. Awarded a race there last month and he is better on more undulating circuits.
Sprang a surprise to beat Garde Ville in a Tabley point-to-point last month. Not disgraced at Cartmel last time, but overall form lacks consistency.
Winless in point-to-points and hunter chases this year and looks out of his depth in this company. Tailed off at Kelso last time.
Suffered a surprise defeat to Fair Exchange at Tabley, but has won five races including a stayers race at Heslaker and a hunter chase at Warwick. Goes well for this rider.
Back to form on his last two point-to-point starts under positive rides. Faces a sterner test here but jockey booking is a positive.
Winner of nine point-to-points and successful on hunter chase debut two months ago. Did not jump well when pressured at Exeter on next start, but remains a player in an open looking race.
Not the most prolific of winners in point-to-points, but usually runs his race. Not up to this level however and he was pulled up in this two years ago.
Two heavy ground victories this winter take his point-to-point tally to five. Has not jumped regulation fences well in the past and that remains an issue.
Soundly beaten in two previous hunter chase ventures. Faster ground seems to be the key and he arrives following a hat-trick of point-to-point victories. Looks more progressive than many and one for the shortlist.
Won a weakish affair at Horseheath after a couple of poor efforts and then finished third in a decent Fontwell hunter chase. Connections respected, but stamina doubts remain.
Has won her last three point-to-points and is less exposed than many in this. She did not appear to stay 3m2f last time so the trip is a concern.
Forecasts
Excitable Island (10/3), Teeton Power (7/2), Master Baker (4/1), Eddies Miracle (7/1), Bally River Boy (10/1), Garde Ville (11/1), High Hatton (12/1), Pink Eyed Pedro (20/1), Changeofluck (25/1), Fair Exchange (33/1), Moral Hazard (40/1), This Breac (50/1), Master Sunrise (66/1), For Yes (66/1)
Not many of these are guaranteed to stay but that is not an issue for Irish raider EDDIE'S MIRACLE who landed a four-miler on Saturday and is partnered by a top amateur who has a good record on him. Master Baker, Pink Eyed Pedro and Teeton Power are promising point-to-pointers who are relatively unexposed, but Changeofluck may be a bigger threat for a yard that normally have one ready for this. Zac Baker's mount did not handle Fontwell last time, but he had been in good form going into that and it would be unwise to write him off.
- Eddies Miracle
- Changeofluck
- Pink Eyed Pedro
