Still really to convince that he has the stamina for a test such as this having looked to struggle so far at staying trips in his two runs for this yard. Failed to get home over 2m last time and still looks to have a tough task at the weights.
Ended last season in far better form than he's started this winning over trips of 2m plus at Ascot and Pontefract. Failed to fire in three runs so far this year and although the handicapper has relented a little it's hard to know what to expect.
Looked a filly on the up when taking a couple of handicaps last summer with stamina tests looking to suit her. Ended the season on a downbeat note though and to a certain extent that's carried on this year; type who could bounce back though.
Showed some useful form when with Roger Charlton despite only winning a maiden. His first run for this yard showed some promise (shaped better than the result); has joined a very capable yard and worth noting in the market.
C&D winner last year off this same mark but on soft ground and nine runs since haven't produced another success. Both starts this year have come at shorter trip than today and this will suit better; stable could be in better form.
Returned from a break with a very creditable run over 2m at Nottingham only beaten by an improving sort who has won again since. Runs off the same mark here and a repeat of that run would put him in the mix here; last two wins on the AW.
Lightly-raced on the Flat (maiden winner for Willie Mullins) who has run poorly over hurdles for this yard recently. Fared no better on the Flat of late (wore hood) and was never dangerous; hard to make a case for him here.
Fairly useful in handicaps (goes well at Ripon) and has twice run well there this year (runner-up twice). Had the run of the race on both occasions though and remains above his last winning mark; should run another sound race.

Kensington Star (11/4), Davy's Dilemma (10/3), Stormin Tom (7/2), Airton (4/1), Mistress Quickly (7/1), World War (7/1), Dominating (8/1), Stone The Crows (9/1), Iolani (33/1)
A competitive staying event with the lightly-raced DAVY'S DILEMMA looking to build on his successful season last year after a return that showed that he still retained all his ability off a workable mark. Stone The Crows is worth noting in the market having had just the one run for a very capable yard he could well make a step forward in this. Airton also shaped nicely on his return running into a progressive young stayer at Nottingham and a repeat of that run would put him in with at least a place chance here. Stormin Tom will be dangerous if he’s allowed an easy time on the lead with Kensington Star another to add to the mix despite his stable being rather quiet this season.

- Airton
- Stone The Crows
