Victorious in a first time visor (retained) over 7f at Lingfield recently. Penalised for that success and likely to be involved in the finish in this contest.
Nine race maiden but placed twice from three starts since joining this yard. Latest effort came when 2L second over 1m at Windsor (good) and he is likely to run well once more.
Successful at Redcar (6f, good-to-soft) on final start at two. Gelded since and disappointed on handicap and seasonal debut last month.
Handicap winner over 6f at Newmarket (soft) in August last year. Struggled in two subsequent outings including on seasonal debut at the end of April. Stepping up in trip.
Shown ability in three starts so far including when fifth at Newmarket (7f, good-to-soft) on seasonal debut. Disappointed over 1m since and fitted with cheekpieces for the first time on handicap debut.
Maiden winner on the Southwell fibresand over 1m in January and put in a fair effort when third over this trip at the same venue the following month. Making her handicap debut following a break.
Dual winner at two but failed to build on the promise of her reappearance effort when well held at Newmarket (1m, good) last time. Cheekpieces worn that day replaced with a visor (first time) in this.
Winner off a 5lb lower mark on the AW at Newcastle (7f) in early November. Finished fourth on handicap debut the following month but disappointing on her return to turf at Doncaster recently.
Well held in three starts in novice contests last year. Has had wind surgery since running at Wolverhampton in November and is making his seasonal and handicap debut in this contest.
Well held in two starts since winning over 7f at Lingfield in January. Remains on a mark 3lb higher than for that success.
Sprung a surprise when winning over this trip at Newmarket (good-to-firm) last time out. Raised 6lb for that success and interesting to see if he can repeat that here.
In good form earlier this year wining over 6f at Wolverhampton in February and placing over this trip there subsequently. Fair fifth on his return to turf last time and worth a check in the market.
Forecasts
Beachwalk (11/4), Elhafei (7/2), Oswald (4/1), Arigato (8/1), Real Estate (10/1), Nicklaus (10/1), Holy Tiber (25/1), Hunni (33/1), Enrolment (40/1), One More Chance (50/1), Brockey Rise (50/1), Fiery Breath (80/1)
OSWALD can register a first victory at the tenth time of asking in this competitive opener. The selection put in a career best effort when second last time and can see off the penalised Beachwalk who was a winner recently. The return to this trip can see Elhafei claim third on his handicap debut.
