Ran well when beaten only by a Catterick specialist at that venue (2m, good) last month, from this mark. Entitled to plenty of respect on that evidence.
Well behind stablemate The Resdev Way at Catterick last time and has yet to convince over this far on the Flat. Drops 1lb but others make more appeal.
1-16, that win being over 1m4f at Pontefract (good) in July. Now 3lb lower than that winning mark, which looks dangerous, but he has stamina to prove over this far and has been well below his best so far this term. Cheekpieces now fitted.
Has won over this trip on fast ground (form 2lb higher in 2016) and is 5lb lower than her last win in this code 15-months ago. Well below that form in two runs this term and was also below par over hurdles last time. Bit to prove.
Dual 1m4f winner (on good/good to soft). Comfortably held on sole run at 1m6f. This is very much unknown territory and with recent form not great, there are several reasons to take her on.
Back in better form when returned to 1m6f at Redcar (good to firm) last week, beaten just 1½L from this mark in a slightly better race. Sees out 2m, though has yet to win over it in this code. Three years since last win and probably each-way claims.
15-race maiden. Stayed on for a distant third when tried over a similar trip at Newcastle (AW) in April. Similar effort here over 1m6f last time. Moderate form and others preferred.
A standing dish in these lower grade northern stayers' contests over the years and he has six distance wins to his name. Now 22lb lower than the last of those on turf, two years ago. Can't write him off, but more needed than on his reappearance.
Has made the frame just once in 17 starts, that being over 2m½f on Newcastle's Tapeta in March. Looks capable of winning a race like this one day and arrives after a respectable hurdles run with the former champ up for the first time. Interesting.
Very poor form in three starts so far and even this lowly initial mark looks too much for him on that evidence.
Looks a shadow of the horse that won a 1m2½f Haydock handicap from 26lb higher in 2016. Was a long way below that form in all starts last year and recent hurdles efforts lack encouragement for his return to this code.
Well beaten in all five starts, including from this basement mark in handicaps and over this trip. Readily opposed.
Triple winner over this distance, but the last of those came in 2013. Has shown nothing worthwhile in terms of form since 2015 and is impossible to make case for on his reappearance.

Urban Spirit (3/1), Slipper Satin (9/2), Cosmic Tigress (5/1), The Resdev Way (5/1), Jan Smuts (8/1), Pantomime (11/1), Ice Galley (12/1), Dyna Might (14/1), Breakwater Bay (25/1), Archipentura (33/1), Clayton Hall (40/1), Rip Van Go (50/1), Street Jester (66/1), Strikemaster (100/1)
Very poor fayre on offer here, but something has to win it and the suggestion is THE RESDEV WAY, who arrives in decent form, is proven over the trip and should go very close. Breakwater Bay is on a dangerous mark but has stamina to prove and Cosmic Tiger is another with the ability if she can spark a revival. Slipper Satin is respected, while the most serious danger to the selection may prove to be Pantomime, with Paul Hanagan an eyecatching booking.
