65,000gns foal, £230,000 yearling, £1,000 at three. Second foal, dam 1L winning half-sister to 1m2f Listed winner. Makes belated debut and given that and the drop in his price tag he is probably one to watch.
Has been making steady improvements, winning at Lingfield (1m, AW) in January in first-time cheekpieces. 6L fourth on first run since being gelded last time, which was still a decent effort. Should be a contender here.
Scored here over 7f (good to soft) on his second start, last month. Stepped up on that next time at Catterick, when 3L second under a penalty. Has that burden again, but could improve for step up in trip and should be competitive.
Has had three runs in reasonably quick time and improved with each one, finishing 1¼L second at Kempton (7f) when switched to the All Weather last time. Is short-listed here on the back of that and similar improvement would make him tough to beat.
20-1 and hinted at ability when beaten 12½L on debut at Newbury (1m, good to soft) in April. Has been taken out of intended engagements twice since then. Represents a top yard and could go well, though slight concern with regard to fast ground.
5-2 joint favourite on debut at Chelmsford (7f, AW) in November. Ran green there and beaten almost 9L, but not disgraced. Top stable has been in very good form of late and it would be no surprise to see a much better effort this time.
Has posted two very modest efforts so far in races over 1m2f at Beverley and Redcar. Drops in trip here needing a lot of improvement to figure. More likely to be of interest when she has a handicap mark.
Last on debut at Wolverhampton in April and never a threat when beaten 11½L at Nottingham (1m½f, good to firm) last month. Could begin to get more competitive here, though handicaps are looking the very obvious route.
22-1 and nibbled at in the market prior to a decent debut effort at Catterick (7f, good to soft) in April, when she dwelt before staying on strongly to be a 2½L fourth. Can build on that eyecatching run now stepped up in trip. Not ruled out.
66-1 and made some late headway when 14L ninth of 17 on debut at Nottingham (1m½f, good to firm) last month. Should be able to build on that this time.

Forecasts
Hasanoanda (2/1), Jahaafel (3/1), Climb Aboard (5/1), Deliverance (6/1), Now Then (10/1), Symposing (11/1), Morticia (12/1), Harry George (33/1), Shawaamekh (50/1), Median (50/1), Ilikeyoualot (100/1)
Climb Aboard has been coming along nicely so far and it would be no surprise to see Hughie Morrison's gelding prove good enough here, but MORTICIA made an eyecatching debut at Catterick and if she is able to step up on that form now trying this longer trip, then she could be tough to beat. Hasanoanda, Symposing and Jahaafel are others who make appeal.
- Morticia
- Climb Aboard
- Jahaafel
