Ran into a smart type last time in Crack On Crack On who has since followed up in the valuable Silver Bowl at Haydock. Prior won back-to-back races also at Lingfield and doubtful he has stopped improving. Probably sets the standard.
Suited by Chelmsford and broke through there on just his third start when making all over a mile. Couldn't settle when restrained early over further on handicap debut and now takes a drop in class and trip. Looks a leading contender.
Won a moderate contest two starts ago on turf before seemingly struggling over a mile last time. Needs to find significant improvement on handicap and AW debut but will appreciate return to this trip.
Three seconds from as many previous starts on the AW including at this track over a mile. Takes a sharp drop in distance having seemingly being suited by further and others preferred.
Won two from four for Keith Dalgleish but well held on stable, seasonal and handicap debut. Needs to find progress off current mark.
Returns to these shores after four races in France where he disappointed last twice. Needs to find significant improvement on handicap debut with first-time cheekpieces added.
Better suited by the AW so far with two wins in a row earlier this year. Struggled on turf latest and looks a tough ask off present mark which is 5lb higher than last success.
Won a maiden and a novice but subsequently struggled in two handicaps last season. Up in trip for seasonal reappearance and needs to take a big step forwards.
Best two runs from just five career starts have come on the AW including over this C&D, however more required off present mark.
Cost €200,000 as a yearling and proved to be well ahead of his mark when winning with loads in hand on handicap debut. There was a lot to like about the way he travelled through that race and 5lb rise unlikely to be a problem.
Seven race maiden but still open to improvement for leading stable. Has run to a consistent level of form so should be involved but progress required to get his head in front.
Decent second on handicap debut when just not quite seeing it out over further. Open to plenty of progress and drop in trip will help but this is tougher.

A competitive handicap which INSURGENCE looks sure to go close if transferring his hot Lingfield form to this track as a rapidly improving individual. He gets a narrow verdict ahead of Balletomane who won with any amount in hand last time and could be well ahead of the handicapper. Stablemate Rogue will appreciate the drop in class which also applies to Best Blue who should make a bold bid from the front.
